It was a fairly low key Sunday. The loss of an hour didn't help with feeling tired, but we persevere. We stopped at the old place to put food out for those waifs. I only saw White Cat as usual in her ad hoc home on someone's patio. She's looking better these days though.

We then went to Kroger to get items for breakfast as well as supper throughout the week. From there it's been chill just watching Rifftrax and napping. Tang has been ever faithful company and is also doing well.

Tried to work on a greeting card for a friend today. Found a card I liked online and thought I could maybe scan the front design into my computer to print out but it didn't turn out very well. So I may go ahead and purchase it. It will be about a $2 charge but it is a nice card and it's a novelty type card that is hard to find. Faithful Buster is here taking a nap on my bed as I'm writing to you. Today is cleaning day at his home and there's major construction work being done in his favorite hunting area, so I guess he's trying to find a quiet spot to spend some time, although even here the noise from the construction is noticeable.

Today we needed a mental health day and we took it. We were going to see about the new snow leopard at the zoo, but it was closed due to the sinkhole that formed there. I hope the animals are all OK. We opted for lunch and a movie instead, picking up my RX from CVS on the way home.

We took Tang by surprise walking in the around 4:00. He seems to be doing well. It's time to get his supper, shot and treats as well and provision the local waifs.

I'm glad you and Anne didn't force yourselves to go to work yesterday. WOW!! A sinkhole at the zoo - - I hope it's not in a place where any of the animals could be in danger. I have seen news reports of sinkholes, and southwestern / south central Virginia is also prone to them because of the underground caverns.

Yesterday evening I spoke with my neighbor directly across the driveway from me. She has a friend / relative (not sure which) who does handyman type jobs. She spoke with him and he called me this morning. He came this morning to move the sofa bed into the guest bedroom and moved the smaller settee over to the computer area. What a difference in space!!! It really opened up the area over by the dining room table. He will be back this evening to move the display cabinet which is currently in the dining area over to the wall where I originally had it - - and which is a perfect spot for it. I had to remove the items off the shelves first before he felt safe moving it. As for the novelty greeting card for my friend, I decided yesterday evening to order it along with a few other specialty cards to have on hand. I really liked the designs, and know I would not be able to duplicate them no matter how hard I would try. Plus the entire order was half price as the website was having a clearance sale - - can't beat that. Precious Buster has come for a visit and is taking his nap on my bed as I'm writing to you. It is always a blessing seeing him. Haven't seen Bonnie yet today but she may be enjoying the sunshine somewhere nearby.

Today was a repeat of yesterday prompting calls for both of us (to our VM) from the new bottle blond ops manager. Anne called back for both of us saying we'd be back tomorrow. Anne applied at Chewy again for giggles and got a call in her VM to set up an interview 2 hours later Upon hearing that I tried but it was too late in the day to expect the same for myself. We'll see how that goes.

Tang seems well and his been good company. Soon it will be time to get his supper, shot and treats as well as provisions for the local waifs.

I hope all is okay with your current jobs until you're able to get suitable alternative employment. I'm glad you and Anne have reapplied to Chewy, now that you know to apply online. I received Noah's prescription food and supplies from Chewy, and the customer service was always pleasant and prompt. When Noah joined the angels, both co-founds of the company sent me sympathy cards accompanied with a comforting letter, so I sent them a copy of Noah's memorial booklet. I'm hoping that if you and Anne do get jobs there that you will finally find a "good fit." Please let us know how things go.

It's been a busy day here working on financials. Have printed off the monthly bank statement so will have the project of reconciling it with the checkbook at some point in time. Am thoroughly enjoying the more open space in the dining room and living room areas. Buster came to visit me twice today, the second time taking a nap on my bed. It is always a joy seeing him and having his company.

I received a form rejection email from Chewy at 7:45 this morning. So, I'm pretty sure they have me on an auto reject list. When I interviewed the first time, I could tell the 20 something recruiter wasn't comfortable with my age. But I can't prove that, so what ever I guess. Unfortunately we still have our current jobs with no reprisals that I can tell. But now instead of moving us to another building in May/June it's work from home (supplying our own resources) or nothing. Yeah, no. Upside is they can't fight that UE claim. Idiots.

Tang met us at the door when we got home as usual. He's had his supper, shot and treats and seems to be doing well. I don't know who gt the first round of can food (bowl was in the parking lot) but Dulcinea got the second round

Butters appears to have gotten the can food tonight. I was going to put out more but already lost one container to the wind and don't want to lose another. I did put extra dry out though.

Tomorrow will be errand day but just a couple of quick ones - - one to the pharmacy and one to the grocery store here in town to pick up some milk, bread, etc., to supplement me until it's time to make another major order to Kroger. I see from advertisements that Kroger is now offering delivery service, but since there isn't a Kroger here in town this is useless to me. I would really like to see the Food Lion here in town broaden its services to include online orders and delivery. I guess time alone will tell if that will happen in my lifetime.

Working on financials gives me a royal headache, It's a good thing I never tried to make a living as a bookkeeper / accountant / financial advisor. Yesterday went well with the infusion. For the first time in 9 months my brother and I enjoyed a good sandwich from Subway - - he has elected to have lunch with his wife before picking me up after my procedure - - which is okay. I got the mail yesterday evening for both me and Bonnie's and Buster's mom and dad, so I was able to see Bonnie for a few minutes. Buster came yesterday morning to wish me good luck for my procedure and then he returned late yesterday afternoon for an extended visit and his nap time on my bed. Haven't seen Bonnie today but Buster did come by for a greeting a couple of hours ago but didn't stay long -- he was having too much fun playing outside chasing leaves blown by the gusty wind. He is so fun to watch. Have the bills entered into my checkbook for payment and scheduled a couple more payments online today. The never ending financials.

I decided to use a 20.00 off coupon to renew our zoo passes for another year this morning. We went there, but they are transitioning the snow leopards from the old to the new habitat and were not out. The puma and tiger weren't out either But we did see the jaguar and the male lion. He was totally chill in his habitat. Still miss the lioness though. We had lunch after that and did some running around. But we kept having to leave to find things to do (preferably where there were restroom facilities) as they had our water shut off for almost 11 hours today Was supposed to just be the hot water and for a few hours. Yeah, right.

But we are home now. Tang has had his supper and shot and I will give him his treats after I have my shower. I put the food out for the waifs too but haven't seen any. Tomorrow we are taking Anne's care to a place that's walking distance from here to get new front tires and an oil change. So Tang really will have us home all day (til the car's ready anyway)

Today all we did after the weekly trek to the old place to feed those waifs (saw White Cat and Little Gray) was do the weekly grocery shopping at Kroger. Some lady came up to us in the parking lot leaving asking for spare change for gas. Doubt it was for gas but we each gave her 2 dollars. Not for us to judge, only try to help where we can.

Tang's been good company all day. I just gave him his supper a little early. Later I'll get his shot and treats as well as provisions for the local waifs.

We weren't quite over the bleach from yesterday and took off. Later in the day we were feeling better so went to the 2.00 Tuesday showing of a Dog's Way Home at the Village 8. Movies like that are my emotional Kryptonite, but at least it had a happy ending.

Tang is doing well and has had his supper. Soon I will get his shot and treats as well as put food out for the waifs. Have to be cautious and wait for dark now though since "Don't put food out for animals" was on the news letter I don't think anybody is reporting us but I think my dumping out the uneaten kibbles on the ground by the bushes in the mornings may be getting noticed. So I'll stop doing that. The manager clearly hates animals from our previous dealings. First sign of a serial killer if you ask me.

She's been monitored over the past several months by her doctor for these types of events but this one required hospitalization. So they're going down to Saltville tomorrow afternoon. I'm glad I'm able to help them with their precious little girl. My sister in law's mother will need to go to a rehab center but it's not known yet if she'll be able to return to her home and continue to live independently. Bonnie came by to visit for a few minutes earlier this morning, and Buster is here now taking a nap on my bed. Their mom and dad went out to do some errands, so Buster is here hanging out with me until his mom and dad get back home. It's always a blessing having him here.

So, I took about 15 calls today that maybe 3 of which were legitimate MC advantage calls. The rest were people trying to make payments which can't be done on the weekend. I don't know why they route those to us instead of just putting a message on the IVR. Or better yet setting up the IVR to take payments. Too cheap I guess. Oh well no more weekends after today and 4 more days until a three day WE for us. Stopped by the old place this morning to feed those waifs, but saw nary a one. I hope they are doing OK.

Finished working on a greeting card for a friend so can now put it together and get it in the mail in the next couple of weeks. Checked on financials and got a couple of payments scheduled. Buster came by to visit for a few minutes this morning looking in through the window. He tried to come in through the door but couldn't because I have the pet door sealed and the inside door closed. I'm hoping to be able to visit with him and Bonnie when the mail comes - - providing I can get the mail before their mom or dad does. Scarlet is still fussy today but does let me brush her for a few minutes which does seem to soothe her.

Today was straight up a mental health day from work. Just couldn't bring ourselves to go in there on April fools. Nice thing about the company being in the sad state it's in is that "points" are pretty much meaningless now. They pay the UE now or 6 weeks from now when they only offer work from home. Makes no difference to us and I think they realize that now.

Tang has been lovely company as usual. I gave him his supper early and will get his shot and treats after while. Same for the food for local waifs when it gets dark.

I do so understand how tedious your and Anne's work is requiring the need to for "mental health" days. It's good that you don't have to worry about your unemployment benefits being deducted due to days off work. I'm sorry this job did not offer a better opportunity for you and Anne, but I'm glad you both had this job for income for as long as it lasted. Buster came to visit Scarlet through the window a few minutes ago, and he met with the same cantankerous reception from Scarlet - - hissing, spitting, growling. When I went to take his mom's and dad's mail over yesterday evening both he and Bonnie totally ignored me - - yeah - - my heart aches for the company of these two precious souls. But I'm hoping that when Scarlet goes back home I'll be able to reconnect with them.

Sounds like yesterday was as "routine" day for you and Anne. Routine is okay, as long as the routine isn't painful in body, mind or spirit.

Finally scheduled payment for the last routine invoice for April's bill-a-thon this morning and worked on an Easter greeting card for my friend who was my volunteer helper. Just need to put it together and put it in the mail in a couple of weeks. Scarlet is playing with her toys today and is keeping me busy finding grey mouse which disappears under furniture. My brother called me yesterday evening to let me know they would be back home late evening today and will pick up Scarlet tomorrow. So she just has the rest of today and tomorrow morning left to tolerate me as her caregiver. Bonnie's and Buster's mom and dad have invited me to their home to have dinner with them today so I'm hoping to have some visit time with their fur kids.

Well, we didn't get out on time tonight Some (bleep) decides to call at 7:55 because he got a denial notice for using an out of network Dr on the teledoc line. Kept swearing he looked on our web site to see if he was INN, but he wan't. Probably looking on the teledoc site and not BCBS. Tuned into a sup call for the team lead anyway (That I practically had to force him to take) Only got a home a few minutes late though.

Tang met us at the door and informed us we we are "grounded" for being 2 minutes late for curfew He's had his supper, shot and treats and seems to be doing well. I just put the 2nd round of can food out for the waifs next to the dry. Dulcinea got the 1st round.

Those last minute calls always seem to be aggravating. A part of me can understand the client's confusion as to which website he should access to figure out benefits, and the aggravation in getting a bill that he thought would be covered. Am glad the supervisor finally took the call - - that's what he / she gets paid for. I'm chuckling at you and Anne being "grounded" by your precious prince Tang - - but that's a "punishment" that is easy and pleasant to deal with.

Scarlet went home today and is happy to back with her mom and dad in familiar surroundings, sights, and smells. Both Buster and Bonnie have been visiting frequently since Scarlet left - - which is a special treat for me. Finally got my second roku box installed on the TV in the living room area - - it was on sale at WalMart so decided it was time to splurge. It took me most of the afternoon to figure it out but finally got it up and running.

At least we got out on time tonight. Which is good because I pre-ordered Subway on my tablet this morning to pick up at 8:20 (nice to go in and grab it w/o having to worry about the line) Tomorrow we have to get up early to get the tires changed on Anne's car (she ordered them Wednesday) But at least we're off.

Tang met us at the door when we got home which is always nice. He's had his supper, shot and treats and has been enjoying some outside smells with the living room window open with this nice weather. He seems well. I don't know who got the first round of can food tonight, but they made short work of it and I put out some more.

Am glad you and Anne got out of work on time yesterday evening, especially so that you didn't breach your "curfew". I'm smiling at your precious Tang enjoying the warm evening scents wafting in through the windows. I presume he hasn't tried any further "escapes" - - and I'm sure you and Anne keep a watchful eye on him whenever the doors are opened.

This morning I worked on the project of organizing things more here inside. After Scarlet went home yesterday and I got her things stored away, I moved the two filing cabinets that have my monthly financial receipts from the laundry / utility room area into the guest / project room. There was a box in the garage that had some office type things in it like binders, etc., that I have been raiding from time to time when I have needed things, so this morning I finally emptied it out and got those things stored away in the project cabinet in the guest room. Not having that box in the garage then gave me space to move the storage bins that have my archived financial records from the laundry room into the garage. Moving those bins into the garage gave me space to move the boxes with extension cords and light bulbs from the closet in the guest room to the laundry / utility room. I may move those boxes out to the garage eventually but for now they're no longer taking up space in the guest room closet. So now I have more room in the utility room which is the goal. I can now get a small refrigerator to handle the overflow from things that I buy in quantity and won't fit in the inept refrigerator in the kitchen. This is an ongoing work in progress, but for the first time since I moved in here 9 months ago I'm beginning to feel more "settled." It will NEVER be like my beautiful home in the woods that I shared with my beloved companions, but at least I'm no longer hating it here anymore. I saw Bonnie out for a few minutes but she didn't stay out long in the rain - - she headed back home. Haven't seen Buster yet today but may see him later this afternoon.

We got up early to take Anne's car over to Big O to get the tires and oil change. Since it's walking distance from home we went to Mickey D's for breakfast and home. It only took a couple hours or so for them to do the work which was nice.

We just got back from picking up some Chinese for dinner (the tablet sure is nice for pre-ordering) Tang is doing well and has been good company all day. BTW he constantly tries to "escape" but we keep a watchful eye on that now. I'm about to get his supper ready and then later his shot and treats as well as food for the local waifs.
