Hi, Tracy, sunny gusty windy chilly Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Yeah, I so know how you feel when you share with us: "In my mail box was a letter from Gannett benefits that since I got my huge .25 per hour raise, my insurance payments are going up 3.00 per pay period." It never ceases to amaze me how service providers can find a way to justify increasing rates beyond the wages earned. I hope this increase will not be too much of a detriment to your financials. It's just one more "increase" you have to deal with in addition to the increase in your rent and perhaps other services as well.

For the past couple of weeks I have had technical challenges being able to print a clean copy of my checks from my bank account. When I pull up a copy of the check to print it comes up with a black background. I checked all of my printer settings - - which I never change anyway - - and all were okay. I tried printing from both my Canon and HP - - same problem. One of my errands on Tuesday was to the bank. I took copies of how the checks are printing with me to ask if there was a technical issue at the bank - - had they changed the way they scanned the checks into the system, etc.. The teller looked at me with a blank stare and mumbled that she wasn't having any problems. I had to "push" her to give me the telephone number to technical assistance. This morning I once again checked the printers to see if there were any driver updates, etc. - - all were fine. Still a problem printing off the checks. The statements are fine. Even the confirmation of electronic payments are fine. It's just the checks that are having the technical issue. So I called the technical assistance number, and the CSR I got was very gracious. She asked me to try a couple of things which were unsuccessful. So she has put in a trouble ticket for me. She did mention something that I had not tried. I normally use Google for my browser instead of Internet Explorer. As the CSR was writing up the ticket she stated she included that the problem also included any browser. After the call, I tried I E, and voila - - the checks printed off just fine. So there is a problem with the Google interface at the moment. So, this is good news that at least I can use I E if / when Google has a problem. And I will write myself a note about this to keep at my computer desk for future reference.

My precious Noah is doing well, and it's always a joy to share your news that your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing well also. I'm smiling at them cuddling with you at night. The winter chill in your household is a "two cat night". I hope Gray Tabby and the others are able to find a warm spot to cuddle up with one another for shelter and warmth.

It's getting "that time" for my precious Noah to get some lunch in his bowl. He is sitting by his bowl patiently waiting for me to finish writing to you.

As always, my friend, I hope today is treating you kindly at work, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious companions are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cool greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you're both well. Sorry to hear you had problems printing checks. I can relate to getting no help at the branch, tellers are NO help with such things. But then, they don't pay them very well either. Yes, Google does have issues with certain flash and plug in apps. I have to use Firefox for some things I do on Facebook.

Work was about the same as yesterday. Our team did get pizza for some such stat contest we won. Not that they went all out - Little Ceasar's? Sheesh. Travels home were timely and quiet. Day 2 for a no show on Tabby, I hope she's OK unsure.gif I wish I could make some kind of shelter for them like Love My Mickey does, but I'm sure some jerk would just throw it away.

Only Tang met me at the door, albeit a little sleepy headed. Theresa came out a few minutes later. They both turned their noses up at can food tonight (sigh) I'm thinking instead of wasting by tossing it out, I should mix it with the dry food for the waifs. At least both my kids are doing well otherwise. Tang is playing with the dangly toy I have anchored to a chair, while Theresa tries to crawl into the little heater rolleyes.gif

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, gusty windy, chilly Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I think your idea of giving the "refused" food to the homeless waifs is an excellent one. I also hope Gray Tabby is okay. Perhaps someone has taken her in. Even though you cannot provide them a safe and warm shelter, you are doing what you can as well as giving them the gift of your heart.

Thank you for your encouragement about the web browser challenges. Since I am very technology challenged any "changes" to the processes I am accustomed to become very confusing to me.

Not much happening around the homestead. My precious Noah is doing well. He has had his lunch and is now curled up in front of the space heater while my lunch is warming on the stove.

I hope you were able to get your chores and errands done quickly today so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy most of this day together, and will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. As always, I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Sunny but chilly day's greetings to you and your precious Noah, I you are both well.

Laundry didn't go as smooth as I'd like as someone already had thee loads going in the washer. So, I had to use a different set of dryers. But at least this person was prompt and I never had to see him/her. Grocery errand went pretty sooth too and I was home a little after 10:00. I didn't see Tabby or any other waifs, and I'm hoping they are OK.

Theresa and Tang are both doing quite well and have provided good company and cuddles today. I picked up a 3 pack of catnip mice in the Dollar Tree and they seem to like them happy.gif

Not much else here going on. While napping I had unsettling dream about a generic female supervisor of a certain demographic doing everything in her power and being quite obvious to get me fired. It ended with us going to court and the judge ordering the company to terminate her employment. What can I say? My subconscious wanted some justice. I just hope it doesn't generate bad any karma unsure.gif

I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that uou both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, gusty windy, chilly T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm glad you were able to get your errands and chores done in a reasonably timely manner so that you and your precious fur tribe could enjoy most of yesterday together. I'm glad your dream ended in your favor, my friend. Indeed, the ordeal you have been through with your previous supervisor in this current job - - and supervisors with previous jobs - - you are entitled to some "justice". I hope the tension you and your current supervisor have had over recent weeks is now fading and that you are being able to cultivate a good rapport with him.

I received a notice from Anthem in last night's mail that the quoted premium I received in November for next year's policy was $25 less than what is now being quoted. So I called Anthem this morning, and the CSR could not give me an answer about the discrepancy at this time. She has requested a verification of premium and a reason for any increases than what was quoted to me in November, and will be calling me back by next Wednesday, 12/17, with an answer. I'm hoping the premium will be the former amount quoted to me in November, as a $25 increase would require me to dip into my savings more than what I would like to do.

Received e-mail verification that my bank statement is now available, so at some point in time I will be working on the checkbook "balance a thon". It will also be interesting to see if the interface problem with Google has been corrected. Noah is doing quite well. The wind is still quite gusty, but it's so nice seeing the sunbeams. Otherwise not much else happening around the homestead today.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Hello moon_beam. Sunny but chilly TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you're both well. Glad to hear Noah is doing well and enjoying sunbeams. I'm sorry to hear about your insurance premium mix up and hope it works out in your favor. I certainly know how you feel.

Work was not bad for a Friday and even slowed down considerably in the afternoon to the point of thinking there might be VTO. But the woman who sits behind me had to go and say "I've only had 4 calls in the last hour" She's on saves and they take fewer calls anyway. So of course a few minutes the queue EXPLODED! This person worked with me at LG&E and should really know better to say things like that (sigh)

My bus home was literally on time and kept a good pace. I still have not seen Tabby (or any of the others) and when I went to put more food out tonight, it looked like last nights batch hadn't been touched unsure.gif I hope they are OK.

Theresa and Tang cheerfully met me at the door which is always nice, and each jockeyed for my attention happy.gif I told them if they didn't eat their can food I was going to give it to the waifs, and wouldn't you know they tore into it. Both are doing well.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, somewhat warmer still breezy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Ah yes - - the "things are slow" announcement that almost always brings an onslaught of hectic busyness and almost always at the "last minute" just before it's time for your shift to end. So glad your travels home on a Friday evening were timely and uneventful - - that always helps.

And yes, our precious companions DO understand what we say to them in whatever our native language is. I'm so chuckling at your precious Theresa and little Tang deciding it was to their benefit to chow down on their dinner.

Thank you for your encouragement about my insurance premium. I will let you know how it turns out. Have been busy working on the desk top today. Tried Google to print out the checks for the monthly statement, and had to switch to Internet Explorer instead. As long as I E works in this case I can live with that. Will probably work on the "balance-a-thon" next week. Noah has had his lunch and mine is in the final stages of warming.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious Theresa and little Tang. Please know you and your precious companions are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Hello moon_beam. Slightly warmer, but cloudy and gloomy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well, and that your financial tasks are coming along nicely.

I woke up to the alarm at 7:00 this morning and gave Tang his insulin. Then I proceeded to scoop out the litter boxes and put out fresh water and top off the dry food bowls after which he and Theresa began having some breakfast. Then I laid down on the living room floor and we all played with the new toys I got them at Dollar Tree. I then whipped up some poached eggs fried Spam and English muffins, for which Tang snared a few bites of Spam. He's so funny how he grabs it from my hand, looks both ways and darts off like he has just "stolen" it laugh.gif Both he and Theresa are doing quite well wub.gif

The rest of the day has been spent reading, watching TV and napping; no noteworthy dreams this time. Looking online I found a place I could get Tang's syringes at the same cost as Kroger. All I had to do is check off what I'm using them for (pet use) and agree to get the newsletter for free shipping, plus no tax. They should be here next week. I have about 2 weeks supply left. I'm so glad I no longer have to make a special trip to Kroger.

Oh, I forgot to mention I put in a January shift bid and I got it. I misunderstood the WFM agent when she said I wasn't there to sign for it Thursday; she simply meant I had to sign for it yesterday. At first I hadn't gotten it but the other person declined it at the last minute. It's not M-F but the next best thing. It's Sun-Thu with Fri and Sat off together! It's similar to my current schedule except going in an hour earlier. It's a bummer to still have to work Sunday but at least my days off will be together now.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

Happy Caturday to you and your furkids. I'm glad you all are doing well. I had to laugh about Tang grabbing the Spam. smile.gif Smokey is funny or strange or something. In the mornings hubby lets him inside on the rug by the carport door and feeds him his can food. When he is finished he wants back out but looks back toward the bathroom for me to escort him out. I let hubby and Smokey spend some alone time in the kitchen while I get dressed and have my coffee in the bathroom....Smokey takes off to I don't know where, and sometimes comes back for dinner. Sox and some others show up at different times.

That's kind of you and the neighbors to help the little strays at your place. I hope they are all ok. About shelters for the strays, I don't think they use them. Our theory is, maybe they would feel trapped if another cat or whatever walked up. I'm talking about small shelters. Smokey likes to sit on top of them........I read the TNR plan has been successful, around 770 cats have been fixed, so that should help the cat population.

I hope you, Lt. Tang, and Princess Theresa have a peaceful and cozy night. I hope you have a good work week. Sounds like you are doing well.

Always thinking of our little angels Sir Tom and Mickey. I am so looking forward to butterfly weather........TTFN

Hi LMM. Happy Caturday to you, hubby and the waifs.

I really think you have made a lifetime friend in Smokey from the sound of things. I have a feeling Mickey sent him your way. You're probably right about the shelters. I put a good sized empty cardboard box behind the dumpster while back, but the next day it was gone.

I too hope my waifs are fairing well. I was worried last night when the food from the previous night was untouched. But it, and the top off were gone when I went to refill today, so that's good.

Thank you for stopping by an sharing your updates. I hope you, hubby and the waifs have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, cooler, less windy Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Congratulations on your new schedule!! Having two consecutive days off will be a blessing to you and your precious fur tribe. Will Sundays still be a half day for you? When does your new schedule begin? I hope it will accommodate your transportation.

I'm so glad you were able to find an online source for your precious Tang's insulin syringes. Indeed, anything you can do that will help lower costs and travel time is a bonus.

I'm also glad to share your news that the food for the waifs is once showing evidence of being consumed. I know this takes a concern off your mind, although I know you will probably sigh relief to see Gray Tabby again.

Like LoveMyMickey, I am also smiling at your precious Tang snatching the Spam treats from your hand. He is so blessed to have you for his Forever Dad, and I know you feel blessed to have both your precious Theresa and little Tang for your precious furkids.

Other than the noise of someone in the area doing rifle target practice all is calm here at the homestead. My precious Noah is contentedly stretched out in front of the space heater as I'm writing to you.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Gloomy and gray greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you're both well. I'm sorry to hear someone's target practice (at least I hope that's all it is) is disrupting your day.

Work was calls in queue non stop to the end, the less said about that the better. The schedule is supposed to start the week of the 12/29. I will not work a full day Sunday but I do have to work an hour longer (7-12) Then Monday and Tuesday 7-5 and Wednesday and Thursday 7-4. I'll save you the math, it's 39 hours not 40. I've asked for it to be adjusted, but even if it isn't they're always whining for people to work OT. So, I can even it out that way. In any case, I think it will be worth it to get my days off together and still have a weekday off. Before bidding for it I checked the bus schedule and I will still be able to get a UPS bus in and home on the weekdays and in on Sundays. So, it's only going home on Sundays that I have the longer walk.

Coming into my apartments from the back way I encountered a big black cat and a beautiful Tortie; they both ran off scarred though. I still haven't seen Tabby, but the food I put out is being eaten.

Theresa and Tang are well and cuddled with me on the couch treating me to purr motors in stereo wub.gif I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny, cool, calm breezes Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

So glad to share your news that your new schedule will work out for you, and that you might be able to pick up some OT if you wish, and if it is convenient for your transportation schedule. The good news is that you will still have Christmas Day to be with your precious companions. I hope the holiday transportation schedule for New Year's Day will work out for you.

Today has been challenging working on the checkbook reconciliation with the bank statement. I was having a hard time coming up with a correct balance matching the bank statment to the checkbook. I went back through last month's entries in the checkbook and discovered a $10 error - - not in my favor. Once I got that corrected, I was finally able to get a corresponding reconciliation figure for this month. Yeah, finding that error did raise some temporary hyperventilation, but everything worked out eventually. This is a reminder that I will need to be more diligent in my math - - even with the assistance of a calculator.

When I woke up this morning Noah was not snuggled next to me. I found him curled up on his bathroom window perch enjoying the sunbeams. So he kept me company while I did my morning wash up routines, and joined me while I was slaving over the checkbook offering me comforting encouragement. He has had his lunch and mine is in its final stages warming on the stove.

I'm smiling at your precious Theresa and little Tang "treating me to purr motors in stereo" yesterday. Life is ever so much better with precious companion(s) to soothe the heart and spirit.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Sunny, cool but mild greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well, your bank statement issue not withstanding. Breath my friend, it'll be OK.

I will actually be off Christmas Eve and Day with pay as the company is "throwing us a bone" this year. The day after Christmas is holiday hours so I only have to work 7-2. Looks like I'll have a 3 day weekend for New Years according to my schedule. I think it's the Louisville call center's turn to be closed. Plus they haven't asked for volunteers.

Work was a monster Monday with a record high in queue of almost 600 ohmy.gif After lunch we stayed in the 200 range and were still at about 18 when I left. It was just call after call of vacation holds, and only a few needed an agent and could not be processed by the IVR or web site. And people get mad at us when they could easily self serve dry.gif I know I like the self check at the grocery store and wish Save a Lot had one.

The bus home was 10 minutes late, and try as he might the driver could not make it up with all the idiots who didn't know where they were going and more seasonal help going all the way out to UPS now (sigh) Coming through the lot to the mail boxes, I heard a pitiful meow that turned out to be Tortie. He/she started to come up to me but was startled by the 9 million cars racing through the lot (sigh) Still no sign of Tabby unsure.gif

Theresa and Tang are well and thoroughly enjoyed my opening a new can of food happy.gif I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm so glad you will have a long New Year's holiday with your precious fur tribe. This has been a LONG TIME in the making for you, my friend. You have earned this many times over through your previous jobs. ENJOY!!!!

Hopefully, Gray Tabby has been taken in to a loving Forever Home, and hope little Tortie will come to trust you as much as Gray Tabby did with your loving patience.

Thank you for your thoughtful encouragement about my math skills, and lack thereof, reflected in my checkbook. I go back through to check, double check, and re-check throughout the month, but somehow I totally missed this error. Thank goodness I discovered it now. It's day 2 in waiting for a call back from Anthem regarding the discrepancy in the monthly premium for next year's policy. I will be glad when that is resolved.

Not much happening around the homestead today. Sunbeams are shining today. However the area is under a snow watch for Saturday but don't know yet what the anticipated accumulation may be. It's that time of year.

My precious Noah is doing very well. He is keeping me faithful company as I'm writing to you. I woke up this morning to the blessing of being snuggled next to his precious body.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and chilly greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you're both well and am glad you got some sunbeams today. Let's hope the snow passes you by.

Thanks for the well wishes on the extra paid days off. You're not kidding it's been a long time in coming, and not even "evil" sup can bring me down in regard to that. The call volume today actually died down after lunch but then exploded again around 4:00 (sigh) One good thing about that though is, believe it or not, it's easier to get out on time that way.

The bus home was right on time and the driver zipped along. Going to the mail boxes I heard a meow and thought it might be Torti, but low and behold it was Tabby biggrin.gif I'm glad she's OK, but I was hoping you were right about getting a Forever home. She followed me down and waited patently by the stairs for her food which I brought right down. When I came back down with more food for the dumpster and the trash she followed me over there and back again and came halfway up the stairs. This one is really determined. It's almost like Angel Tom is guiding her my way, but all I can do is feed her. I did stay with her a few minutes and talked to her while she ate.

Theresa and Tang both greeted me at the door and gleefully tore into their can food. Both are well I'm pleased to say. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

So glad you know that Miss Gray Tabby is still around and eager for your tender loving care. I know from first hand experience how it must pull at your heart that you personally cannot give her a Forever Home. But you are doing your best to let her know the loving care of a human heart, and that goes a long way, my friend.

Called the insurance company this morning and am glad I did. Spoke with a different CSR. From what I was told this morning the inquiry sent last week went to the "wrong department" and was sent back for follow up to the "right" department - - which apparently never happened. The CSR I spoke with this morning told me she would do the follow up and would be back in touch with me by Friday, 12/19. So we'll see what happens.

Doing the security updates and scans on the big desk top, and Noah is enjoying the sunbeams coming in through the big door windows as I'm writing to you. According to the latest weather forecast the "snow" event for the area this weekend is not supposed to leave any accumulation, but the disclaimer is that the storm track is still "forming" which can then change what actually happens. No matter how much "science" goes into forecasting the weather, what actually happens is still in control by Mother Nature.

So glad your precious companions are doing well, my friend. I know they are a joy to you, and they are blessed to have you for their Forever Dad.

I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you're both well. Glad to hear your little man had sunbeams to bask in today.

Thank you for the kind and encouraging words about Tabby. Though I didn't see her tonight, I ran into her this morning at the mail boxes on my way out dropping a Netflix in the outgoing slot. I was running late and didn't have time to stop, but did wish her well and told her there was still food in the bowl under the tree. She seemed so hurt that I didn't stop though. I hope she didn't take it as a rejection. She seems so terribly lonely sad.gif I hope she keeps coming around if for no other reason that less wandering will increase her odds of being safe.

Work was what it was and we didn't get out of queue in time for VTO. My bus home was 5 minutes late but the driver made up the time. I'll be glad when the holidays are over and there aren't so many skeezy looking characters on the bus to UPS. Of course then, I will be on an hour earlier schedule.

Theresa and Tang are both well and greeted me at the door, which is always a nice bonus wub.gif They are currently playing a game I don't quite understand that involves the catnip mice I got a little while back and pouncing each other laugh.gif So far no fights.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy cold Thursday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. Hope you are able to get your chores and errands done today quickly so that you and your precious fur tribe can enjoy most of this day together.

It was an early rise day here as I needed to go to the pharmacy to pick up some things. Priority was Noah's Miralax which gets added to his dinner serving on a daily basis. Am down to the last few quarter teaspoons to mix in - - knew I wouldn't have enough to get through much beyond the weekend. Picked up things on the list, got checked out, got to the car, got the car started, and then I realized I had forgotten the Miralax. I hustled back into the pharmacy to get that item. I'm so glad I remembered it before I got all the way back home!!! The air sure does feel like a wintry something or other could materialize. My brother in Bedford called last night to confirm my joining him and the family on Christmas Day. My nephew Matthew is traveling home today from Idaho with a connection in Atlanta. I'm so hoping he gets through Atlanta before the icy whatever begins in that area.

Noah is doing well. He was a bit perturbed at my early rise this morning, as he was snuggled so nicely under his warm fleece cover next to me. But being the good spirited precious boy he is, he was ever so glad to see me back home and is now settled in front of the space heater as I'm writing to you.

Not much else going on at the moment. Have a couple of e-mails need to answer so will get this off to you. I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, and that you and your precious companions will enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Another cold and cloudy day's greetings to you and you precious Noah, I hope you're both well. I can relate to you forgetting his medicine, it's a good thing you remembered before you got all the way home. I hope you enjoy the time with your family on Christmas.

It's a good thing I got up earlier again to do laundry. There was already a load in one washer and dryer (long done) and by the time I was finishing up, no less that 5 different people came in to do laundry blink.gif I find it hard to believe that many people are off on Thursday like me and doing laundry for that reason today. But then I remembered how many people living here don't even work yet live better than me dry.gif I hope I have better luck with Fridays.

Errands went a bit better as I was able to get a UPS bus home at 9:50 and it wasn't packed as I was expecting. Theresa and Tang have been a wonderful source of snuggles and purrs; including sandpaper kisses from Tang wub.gif They have both had their can food and Tang is curled up on the fleece blanket in his chair and Theresa is once again trying to get inside the space heater happy.gif

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny chilly breezy T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Glad you were able to get your chores and errands done quickly yesterday so that you and your precious fur tribe could enjoy most of the day together. I am so smiling at your precious Tang giving his dad sweet kisses, and your precious Theresa thankful to you for the warmth of the space heater.

From my discussion this morning with the insurance company the saga continues regarding receiving an intelligent answer to a simple query as to what my premium will actually be for next year's policy. The agreement is for me to call back next Tuesday, 12/23, if I don't receive a call back from a CSR. So, I have gone ahead and planned for the higher premium in my bill-a-thon budget plus the additional funds to pay for the "balance due" for the discrepancy in what I have already paid and the invoice I received last week.

Sunbeams are shining bright today, and my precious Noah is doing very well - - so life here is content. I'm so glad I went ahead and did my errands yesterday. Beginning tonight at some point in time the region will have some form of wet weather to contend with including the possibility of some sleet / freezing rain continuing through sometime Tuesday, 12/23. The forecast at the moment for Christmas Day is to be clear, dry, and cold - - so driving to Bedford and back home should be okay.

Cloudy and cold TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you're both well, and glad you both had sunbeams to brighten your day. Sorry to hear you are still struggling for an answer on your insurance premiums, and hope it works out in your favor.

Work wasn't bad in terms of total calls in queue, but stayed steady at or near 100 all day. It even got to 0 for about 5 minutes before spiking again and we were out by time to leave. My bus home was on time and started out sparsely populated but got crowded soon enough. I know I have said it before, but I will be glad when the holidays are over and all those seasonal UPS workers aren't there; quite a rowdy bunch.

Once again I didn't see Tabby, and hope she didn't take my not having time to stop the other morning as a rejection sad.gif Never the less, I put food out behind the dumpsters for any takers.

Theresa and Tang both met me at the door delighted I was on time (that's another thing I'll like about being off Fridays - no infamously late buses home) I can always tell when it's TGIF around here because they are so full of anticipatory energy as they romp and play wub.gif

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy cold Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

So glad you were able to get home yesterday in a timely manner. I can just see your precious furkids doing leaps and somersaults and doing high five's with each other in joyful glee that daddy's home, and it's T G I F - - which means daddy's home all day for Caturday!!! YIPPEEE!!!! I also hope at some point this weekend Gray Tabby will let you know she's okay.

This morning when I got up my precious Noah was still snuggled warmly under his fleece blanket, so I resolved to clean the shower stall. It took me about an hour to get all the rusty stains scrubbed off the floor and lower portions of the walls. And I also tackled the shower doors - - which truly needed a good scrubbing as well. So that chore is done for awhile. Thank goodness now with the new water conditioner I don't have to scrub so hard and as frequently. At some point in time I will need to replace the shower doors, but that's going to have to wait for at least a couple of years.

Toward the end of the clean up I guess I was getting a bit on the noisy side because my precious boy came over to the bathroom door inquiring about all the racket. When I was done he inspected the shower stall and decided it was clean enough as he walked away with his tail swaying in satisfaction up in the air.

Thank you for your encouragement about the ongoing saga with the insurance company. Thank goodness I have other things in my life that are blessings for me to focus on while the insurance bureaucrats decide on what they're doing. Doing the security scans and updates on the big desk top as I'm writing to you and it is also getting time to get some lunch in my precious boy's bowl.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Another cloudy and cold Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you're both well. I can so relate to him coming and "inspecting" your work. Mine (Tang mostly) come in to "inspect" pretty much any time I spend in the bathroom happy.gif

It was another laid back and lazy day. Got up to my alarm at 7:15 to give Tang his insulin, freshen up the food and water, and scoop out the litter boxes. Laid on the floor for some head butts and snuggles, then had some breakfast where Tang "stole" a couple bites of my little sausages rolleyes.gif Sadly, no sightings of Tabby or any other waifs, but the food is being eaten.

The rest of the day was spent reading, channel surfing, and napping; no weird dreams this time thank goodness. Theresa and Tang are both well, have had their can food and are roping around the room. Especially Theresa which elicits looks from Tang as if to say "She's crazy, dad. I keep telling you" laugh.gif Now they're sitting inches apart having a staring contest.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, somewhat sunny chilly Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

So glad you and your precious fur tribe had a wonderfully lazy Caturday together. I cannot think of any better way to spend a day.

Not much going on around the homestead. We have some sunbeams today, and Noah and I have enjoyed a few moments looking out the big door windows together. At present he is settled down in front of the space heater soaking up the warmth.

Looking at the clock you are journeying home to your precious companions who are eagerly anticipating your arrival. Just two days left to work and then you will be home with your precious Theresa and little Tang to truly celebrate Christmas this year. ENJOY!!

I hope today has treated you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon+beam. Partly sunny and chilly greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.

Work was one of those "teaser" days as I call them. Not very busy, no more than 30 in queue and hiting zero a few times. Then late in the shift BOOM! I swear it's some kind of conspiracy dry.gif

My bus home was on time but packed getting me home on time which was nice. I was not greeted at the door, but that's not unusual for a Sunday. Theresa and Tang came around after a bit, with Tang trying to mooch my lunch as usual. Had to disappoint him this time around as all I had was a bowl of clam chowder. Both are doing well I'm happy to say.

Not much else happening here either. Yes, just 2 more days in the pit before being able to enjoy the holidays off with pay with the babies. I'm going to do what I did before Thanksgiving Tuesday night, stopping to do my shopping and getting a cab home so I can enjoy both days doing a whole lot of nothing.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy cold Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Sounds like you have a plan for getting your shopping done tomorrow evening on your way home from work, and am so very glad you will be able to indulge in taking a taxi home afterward. It is soooo nice sharing with you the good things you can do for you and your precious fur tribe. ENJOY!!!

Today's activity focused on scrubbing the kitchen sink and the burner on the stove that I use all the time to warm my veggies, - - and wiping down the fridge and the front of the stove. Amazing what an improvement a bit of scrubbing can do. I still have a lingering limescale on the stove burner that no matter what I do I apparently simply cannot get rid of. However, it is better than what it was when I started the project - - so "better" is better than nothing at all. Noah kept me company as I scrubbed and rinsed - - and now he is eagerly anticipating lunch in his bowl, which I will get for him as soon as I get this posted to you. I still have some much needed vacuuming and dusting to do, and I will do that when the energy reserves are replenished.

Cloudy but not as cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you're both well. Whew! Sounds like you got a lot done today my friend. Ah the evil VACUUM! (as it's called around here) I hope it doesn't scare Noah like it does my brood.

Yes, the cab is a bit of an indulgence. But not a terribly pricey one being only a few miles away, and I'd never be able to get it all home without my cart. I'm not about to lug that to work.

Work was about what I'd expect for a Monday going into a holiday except it pretty much died around 4:30. No VTO though, or at least I didn't hear about it dry.gif

I lucked into a #4 bus rounding the corner on my way down the road to my #18. It was a few minutes late, but the driver easily made up the time. Still no sign of Tabby, or Tortie for that matter sad.gif Coming toward my apartment I saw a a cat crossing the way but couldn't quite make him/her out.

Theresa and Tang are well and greeted me at the door. They turned their noses up at wet food fresh out of the can. When I gave the usual threat, they just looked at me. So, into the waifs' bowl it went along with the kibbles. Bringing it out I saw who I though was Tabby, but it was a different, bigger cat. I hope he/she enjoys the food.

I hope today was kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, cold Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I'm so glad your precious companions are doing well. I share your hopes that Miss Gray Tabby and Tortie are okay, and that you will see them again soon.

Not much going on around here today - - no cleaning, scrubbing, etc.. I called the insurance company earlier this afternoon and the CSR I spoke with stated that the amount I was billed for will probably be my accurate premium for next year. So while I was speaking with her I authorized payment for additional $25 on my credit card. It is nice to have this resolved. If it turns out that my premium is lower that will be a bonus. At least I have paid what the billing department says I owe, - - the bookkeeping is now their responsibility.

My precious Noah has had his lunch and mine is in its final stages warming on the stove, so will get this off to you. In just a couple of hours or so you will be on your way home to your precious fur tribe - - via groceries - - and will be able to enjoy two wonderful days home with your precious companions. This time next week you will be on your new schedule looking forward to an extended New Year holiday weekend - - with pay. YIPPPEEEE!!!!

Hello moon_beam. Rainy and unseasonably warmer greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Sorry to hear the insurance premium is going to be higher than expected. I can certainly relate.

Call volume wasn't bad until late so no early release (sigh) And I had my share of obnoxious jerks just in time for the holiday - HO HO HO - NOT

As I should have expected ALL the 18 buses were late tonight, and I wasn't on my way homeward for over 30 minutes. Dollar Tree and Save a Lot were both out of certain items I needed, so I guess I'll have to make due with kinda sorta substitutes. I got Theresa and Tang (each) a fuzzy mouse toy with foot long tails. The real icing on the cake was when I went to check out I managed to grab the last 2 key chain laser pointers happy.gif No little stockings left though sad.gif

I still haven't seen any of my "regular" waifs and pray they are OK; I will keep putting out food though. The kids were fit to be tied when I finally came walking in the door, but lightened up when I pulled out the laser pointers biggrin.gif I'll give them their other toys tomorrow or the next day.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, rainy, chilly Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Sorry your errands yesterday evening were on the frustrating side. The closer the holidays come it seems the more obnoxious the crowds become. I'm so glad you are home today and tomorrow with your precious companions to enjoy this time together. I know your precious Theresa and little Tang appreciate the "goodies" you bring home to them - - but their greatest joy is having dad with them.

Will try to get the security updates and scans started on the big desk top as soon as I get this posted to you. Noah is doing well, for which I am always thanksful. He is enjoying the warmth of the space heater as I'm writing to you.

I probably will not be on the computer tomorrow as I will be busy getting Noah settled in for my early departure to Bedford tomorrow. I am always glad when I get back home to him.

I hope today, and tomorrow, will treat you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will enjoy peaceful, blissful, and cozy evenings. Hello moon_beam. Cold and rainy day greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.

Today has not been so good for me. On top of getting in late, I didn't get to bed until after midnight. I made the huge mistake of taking 2 bulk fiber pills about 10 hours apart (hoping for some relief, but it went to the totally other extreme) and have been in and out of the bathroom about every 15-20 minutes since about 3:30 this morning. So that and no sleep has me feeling sicker than the proverbial dog. All of which makes me feel like I have cheated the kids during this extra time off. And it's looking like all that food for the feast while not going totally to waste, will not get eaten in the holiday time frame. The last thing on my mind now is food. I should have known something like this would happen, it always does.

Anyway, I hope you have safe travels tomorrow and a good time visiting with your family. All our best wishes this holiday season. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny pleasant T G I F greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you feeling ever so much better, and you and your precious companions in good spirits.

So sorry you were enduring a GI upset during your holiday time off with your precious companions. I hope you were able to feel better yesterday so that you and your precious fur tribe could enjoy the holiday. I can empathize with what you have been dealing with - - GI upsets are absolutely totally no fun at all - - whatever the reason.

The time in Bedford yesterday was decent with the best part getting home to my precious Noah as the last glow of sunset was fading over the western horizon. My precious boy was ever so happy to see me home. The sunbeams are shining bright and cheery today, and my precious boy is very happy about that, as am I.

Decided to work on scheduling bill payments today and just finished that task on the big desk top a few minutes ago. The only invoice I need now is from the electric company, and then I can get that scheduled for payment. I will make a quick errand run to the post office and the bank on Monday, and then I should be home for the rest of the week. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny with temps in the 50's again, so I may try to do some ongoing clean up work in the back yard.

Once again, my friend, I am so sorry you weren't feeling well on Christmas Eve, but hope you were feeling better yesterday. And I hope you are feeling well enough to go into work today knowing that you will have tomorrow off to rest up again. And perhaps sometime this weekend you will be able to cook the feast and enjoy it - - or perhaps you can make it your New Year holiday feast.

Sunny and unusually warmer weather TGIF greetings to you and your precious Noah. So glad you enjoyed your time with your family yesterday and I can relate to how glad you were to get home to your little man. I'm also glad you both had sunbeams smile.gif

Thanks for the kind words. I was feeling better yesterday only in that the "waterfalls" had started to subside and I was able to finally get some rest. I still had to otherwise purge in order to feel halfway human. By the afternoon, I prepared the food and was able to eat just a little and store the rest for later. Theresa and Tang are still showing no interest in the newer mouse toys I bought, but we did enjoy a rousing game of double laser pen tag later that evening happy.gif

I feel almost back to normal today. Work started out slow, but the queue exploded by 9 and stayed that way until 1. Of course it totally dropped then and I was allowed to leave at 1:30. So between getting my haircut and a couple other errands, I was still home by 4:30 (a full 2.5 hours before normal) And this is my last Friday to work going forward biggrin.gif

The kids were oh so glad to see me and greeted me at the door; canned food already out of the way. Since it's so nice, I offered balcony time, but no takers for more than a minute or 2. Both are well, I'm glad to say.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny gorgeous Caturday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Yeah, it's wise to go slow on the digestive tract with food for a day or so after a GI upset. I like leftovers, and am certain you will also enjoy them.

It would be nice if our furkids could tell us what toys they like BEFORE we purchase them. Sounds like the laser toys are a winner. And you never know, my friend - - the mice toys may be their diversion when you're not home.

The subeams are shining bright and warm today, the breezes are calm, so I got into my yard work clothes and raked leaves in the back yard for a couple of hours. Just raked the piles as they formed into the wooded area of the yard. Got the lower slope completely done and up the slope to the upper end of the back wall of the garage. It looks decent again, but I'm sure the gusty winter winds when they return will quickly show me differently. But it was so nice working outside today, so I'm content.

Noah was happy to see me when I got back inside. He has had his lunch and mine is in the final minutes of warming on the stove, so will get this off to you. I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will enjoy a peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Hello moon_beam. Gray and gloomy Caturday greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you're both well. Glad to hear you both had sunbeams today and it sure sounds like you got a lot done in the yard.

Funny you should mention the mouse toys I bought. I remember saying out loud (to no one in particular) how disappointed I was that they didn't seem to like them. And on 2 or 3 occasions today I saw/heard each of them playing with them wub.gif Yet another example of them understanding what we are saying.

I feel pretty good today compared to the holidays and polished off most of the left overs. Just the better part of the ham left to eat. Perhaps I'll pick up a loaf of bread tomorrow for sandwiches. Although I'm sure Tang will help me eat it too tongue.gif

Speaking of whom, he and Theresa have been great company today. Although Theresa seems to have "taken" his favorite papasan chair with tiger print fleece blanket. And don't think he didn't come tell me about it. But he consoled himself by sitting at my head on the couch or in my chair - the "dad" chair. Both are well I'm glad to say.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, soon to be quite rainy Sunday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Indeed, our precious companions do understand what we say to them in whatever our native language is. And it is heartwarming to share your news that your precious companions responded in showing their appreciation of their mouse toys.

Hello moon_beam. Cloudy and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well.

Walking the long way to my bus stop this morning I was struck by the thought this is the last time I have to do that. Tomorrow I start my new schedule and I only have the long walk home on Sundays, not both ways. Of course I have to get up a lot earlier and work and extra hour (Sunday). But I'll also be waltzing out of there at 4:00 Thursdays, and I don't have to work Thursday at all this week. This will help transition laundry/shopping day to Friday I think.

The calls were not particularly heavy and they tapered off by noon; no VTO though. Working earlier, I'll probably rarely (if ever) see that again. The bus home was on time but SRO until we got out of downtown. No greeters at the door, but that's normal for Sundays. Theresa and Tang are both well, however, which I am always pleased to report. Both have had can food and are settling in.

I hope today has been kind to you and and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, sometimes rainy, damp, chilly Monday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. As always it is a blessing to log in to share your news as to how you and your precious fur tribe are doing.

So glad you will have a "short" week this week, - - with PAY. I'm so glad you have a somewhat "stabilized" income so that you don't have to try to juggle finances quite as much as you had to while employed as a contractor.

Had a couple of quick local errands to do this morning and was home within the hour. My precious Noah eagerly met me at the garage door when I returned home, and we have shared several "Noah / mommy" hugs. The woodland residents are tucked tightly into their nests and dens today, so no sunbeams or woodland visitors today for my precious Noah to enjoy.

Not much else happening today, for which I am very thankful. I'm glad I was able to get the errands done today so that I can be home for the rest of the week. Soon it will be time to get some lunch for my precious Noah - - which he is already letting me know he is eagerly anticipating.

Hello moon_beam. Partly cloudy and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you are both well. Sorry to hear your little man didn't have sunbeams and critters, but I'm sure he was oh so glad to have you back from your errands.

The call volume was about what I expected for a Monday after a holiday, and it felt odd (but really good) to be able to leave when there were still 300 calls in queue cool.gif With the schedule change comes much smoother commuting, day light when I leave work, and the chance to see the sun set on my way home on the bus.

Theresa and Tang are both well and greeted me at the door. Physically well anyway. I usually worry that Theresa isn't getting enough attention and may need a little more TLC. But it's Tang that needs it now. From a bit too much negative attention. Yesterday I guess he felt I wasn't sharing enough of the ham and he went and did his "drama king" bit in the litter box as usual. My nerves were already frayed and I barked a few harsh words at him. Even today he is still "sucking up" even though I have told him I'm sorry, didn't mean it and was just having a bad day. I sometimes forget how rough he (and Theresa in her own way) had it before I took him in. Always a work in progress I guess. Hopefully they both know how much I love them. I sure tell them enough.

Sadly, I have not seen Tabby since that fateful morning. I was keeping this to myself, but I had a dream about her while napping the other day. Tom was with her. I'm afraid to think about what that might mean sad.gif

Anyway, things are settling in on the new schedule. I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy, chilly Tuesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits. Just for your information - - the website was running very slow when I tried to log in, and even got the "page unavailable" notice before the Forums loaded. I do hope no one is causing mischief again.

So glad to know your new schedule is an improvement commute-wise having some daylight left to see you home to your precious fur tribe. I remember all too well the "dark" in the morning and "dark" in the evening commutes to and from work.

I'm sorry about your dream about Miss Gray Tabby, but still there is comfort in knowing that your beloved Sir Thomas is either watching over her wherever she is in her earthly journey now, or she is with him safe and sound in heaven's perfect garden - - and the dream was to let you know she is safe with him whatever the circumstances. I hope in some way this brings comfort to you and hope that "all is not lost" for her.

Began the vacuuming challenge this morning, and still have many places left to do, but needed to stop as it was getting time to fix lunch for my precious Noah. The timer on the stove is letting me know that mine is now ready, so will get this off to you. My precious boy is doing well.

If my memory serves me correctly you just have tomorrow to get through and then you will be home with your precious companions until Sunday. I hope today is treating you kindly at work, my friend, and that your travels are safe and expedient so that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang can enjoy a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. I thank you for the blessing of your friendship, Tracy, and of your precious companions. Please know you and your precious Theresa and little Tang are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I always look forward to knowing how you and your precious companions are doing, and to sharing your treasured memories of your beloved Sir Thomas.

Peace and blessing,

Hello moon_beam. Clear and cold greetings to you and your precious Noah, I hope you're both well. Ah the "evil" VACUUM (as it's known around these parts) I hope it didn't frighten your little man too much.

Thanks for the kind words for Tabby. I also thought it could mean Tom is watching over her in her earthly journey. But if that's true, I wonder where she is? Either way it is of some comfort to know he is watching over her. I just wish I could have seen her one more time. That morning when I glanced over my shoulder she looked so hurt sad.gif

The commute over all is much better, as I said. There are a few "wrinkles" I could do without but not too bad I guess. Even though the bus home is on time it seems to take almost 5 minutes longer exactly to get to the end point, and the traffic is not bad. I guess that will remain a mystery blink.gif

Both Theresa and Tang greeted me at the door and both seem to be doing well I am pleased to say. Tang seems to have gotten back some of his pluckiness but still clings a bit. I guess a little more TLC is in order. You are correct, one more day before I'm off for three and the holiday is paid. With my new schedule it means it won't be "extra" like the last two, but it's worth the trade off.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, sunny cold Wednesday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I don't use the vacuum or do any cleaning until my precious Noah is up for the day so that he isn't traumatized from the work. Thought I would continue the clean up today but my precious boy wanted to "sleep in" this morning, so I worked on organizing some things at the computer desk which have been patiently waiting attention for quite awhile. The sunbeams have been shining bright and cheery today which has "energized" my precious Noah. It's always a blessing seeing him feeling fit and frisky. He has had his lunch and is now stretched out on my lap taking a nap as I'm writing to you.

Looking at the clock you still have a little while to go until you are able to begin your trek homeward to your precious fur tribe who are eagerly anticipating your arrival.

Hello moon_beam. Sunny and cold New Years Eve greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well, and glad to hear your little man had sunbeams to perk him up smile.gif

I certainly don't mean any trauma from vacuuming, but don't have much choice about when I can do it. Actually Theresa has gotten a little blase` about the whole process after being with me so long, and Tang is less scared of it these days too. Both are well and greeted me at the door. We had some fun with laser tag too cool.gif

Work was steady until 3:00 and then it just totally died. They started letting folks go at 3:30 and I was able to leave at 4:35. I just barely missed my UPS bus, but took the mall bus after it and knocked out a couple errands that I would have done tomorrow and still had time to catch my regular bus home behind that one. I'll still do laundry and the remainder of my errands tomorrow, but then the rest of the holiday is all ours. Then 2 more days after that biggrin.gif

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a most pleasant evening and a joyous New Year. TTFN

Hi, Tracy, somewhat sunny, getting cloudy chilly New Year's Day greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

I know your precious fur tribe understands the cleaning chores - - after all you are trying to keep THEIR castle, and yours, tidy for them - - and you. I can just hear them when they see the vacuum appear: "looks like daddy's going to use that magic machine to get rid of the dust and grit again. It always looks nice after he's done. He's such a great dad - - and talented with that magic machine."

Speaking of vacuum cleaners, a friend of mine sent me an Amazon gift card and now I know what I will be using it for: the purchase of a new vacuum cleaner. The one I have is an upright, and the motor to the carpet / floor base has apparently died. The main motor to the hose and attachments still works, but not the motor to the carpet / floor base. So - - I ended up using the hose with the uphostlery attachment to clean the carpets and floor, followed up with using my Lysol mop with a dry mop cloth over the floor areas and my Bissell Daisy on the carpet to pick up any stray lint, etc.. A few days ago when I started this project the handle to my Swiffer mop broke, - - hence my using my Lysol wet mop with a dry mop cloth. My vacuum is several years old, so it doesn't surprise me that the carpet / floor base motor has finally quit. So I will be doing an internet search on Amazon to see what I can come up with.

Noah is hanging in here - - a real trooper watching me "invent" different ways of vacuuming, dusting, etc.. He has had his lunch and the timer on the stove is letting me know that mine is now ready, so will get this off to you.

I hope you were able to get your errands and chores done quickly today so that you and your precious companions can enjoy most of this first day of 2015 together, and that you and your precious Theresa and little Tang will have a very peaceful, cozy, and blissful evening.

Partly sunny (or mostly cloudy) and cold New Year's Day greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. Sorry to hear about your vacuum, but it's good you got a gift card to remedy that.

Mine is not in the best shape either. It was a Christmas present from my GF at the time for 2006. I guess she felt guilty (if that's possible) about my old one breaking down cleaning up the area she insisted the tree must go, rather than the place I already cleared for it. The kids really just tolerate it as a necessary evil. They just are not as scared of as they used to be. Tonight is not a vaccum night, so they can relax wink.gif

Laundry went OK. There was a load just sitting in one of my favorite washers, but all other machines were empty as was the room for the duration. I ran into a snag on the errands. I was going to drop into Big Lots for more of the senior dry cat food, but remembered that last time they didn't have it and I had to walk down to the rest of my errands. But my plan to go to Feeder's Supply in that shopping center went south because they were closed dry.gif But I should have more than enough for another week (I thought I had much less until I took a closer look and hefted the bag)

I finished up over 30 minutes before the next UPS bus, so I was content to walk and get home that much earlier. It's been a lazy holiday since then with Theresa and Tang; both are well and happy that I can spend time with them feeling much better than the last time around.

I hope today has been kind to you and Noah and that you both have a very peaceful evening. TTFN

Hi Tracy,

I thought I would stop by to say hello and to wish you and your sweet furbabies a happy new year filled with many blessings.

Speaking of vacuums, Mickey was funny. He would walk along beside it as I was cleaning, not scared at all. Maybe he was trying to protect me, anyway I had to be careful not to run over his toes.

Same ole, same ole, here with the stray kitties. We don't see very many like we used to. Smokey still comes around for his can food in the mornings and sometimes shows up during the afternoon for the dry food we keep out there. He was missing for a couple of mornings, but the young man next door probably took him in. The young man lives with his parents and asked one day if he could have Smokey. Hubby told him it wasn't ours to give, but be good to him when he comes around. Smokey comes from that direction a lot.

Tracy, I hope you have a nice rest of the holiday season and have a peaceful cozy evening with your precious Tang and Theresa.....TTFN

Hi LMM. Happy New Year to you, hubby and the waifs.

Chuckling at Mickey "protecting" you from the vacuum laugh.gif It sounds like the young man's heart was in the right place, but looks like it didn't work out if Smokey is still coming over. They say cats pick their humans, not the other way around. Bless you for continuing to help the neighborhood waifs.

Hoping you are all well and have a great 2015 smile.gif TTFN

Hi, Tracy, cloudy chilly holiday Friday greetings to you and your precious Theresa and little Tang from my precious Noah and me. I hope this finds you and your precious companions doing well and in good spirits.

Sounds like you had an "adventurous" errand day yesterday, and am glad you were able to get what you needed and return home safely to your precious fur tribe. It's always nice when you discover you have MORE than what you thought you had - - particularly when it comes to your precious companions' larder.

I was able to finish up the vacuuming today and got some dusting done as well particularly around the computer desk. I have narrowed the new vacuum purchase to two different brands of lift off uprights which is the type I have now - - the canister lifts off the base which makes it much easier and safer to use when vacuuming the carpet runners on the basement stairs. So now I need to make a "decision" but I will wait until next week sometime to order it.

Noah has had his lunch and after I get this posted to you I will get some soup fixed for me. Am planning on enjoying the rest of this afternoon with my precious Noah who worked just as hard as I did supervising my chores this morning.

My friend, I am so very glad you are feeling much better this holiday weekend - - a wonderful way to bring in a new year with both you and your precious companions feeling well. May you and your precious Theresa and little Tang have a wonderfully healthy, prosperous, and healthy 2015.

I hope today is treating you and your precious Theresa and little Tang kindly, my friend, and that you and your precious companions will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening.

Cloudy, cold and sometimes rainy day greetings to you and your precious Noah. I hope you are both well. I hope which ever vacuum you choose, it works out to your satisfaction.

It's been a super lazy day today. It almost feels like a holiday. And I still have one more day off to go. Theresa and Tang are both well and have been excellent company today. Theresa cuddled up next to me on the couch as always, and Tang even came off the back of the couch to kneed me, lay on my chest and give me sandpaper kisses on my nose wub.gif

Not much else going on here today. I hope today has been kind top you and Noah and that you both have a blissful evening. TTFN
