"The Rainbow Bridge" is a great book, sensitively written. It is worth buying, although the fact that it "Bible based" might restrict its relevance to Christians only. Nevertheless it is the one out of all the above which is the most positive about animals in the afterlife. It deserves reading.

Wallace Sife's book (also above) is excellent, but he wrote another which I like even more: "All Pets Go to Heaven". Some people credit him with having written the "Rainbow Bridge" poem, although it is usually described as "author unknown".

I've read "Coping with Sorrow on the Loss of your Pet" by Moira K. Anderson, and can recommend this one. I have also read "Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates" by Gary Kurz and can also recommend it. Gary is wonderful. He gives out his email address so that readers can contact him, and he does respond back, usually pretty quickly too. I have gotten a really nice email from him.
