I do not expect anyone to remember me. For those who may I appreciate that you can. It was then that I had lost a wonderful cat named Spike, respectivly refered to when I posted as, Mr. Spike. I still miss my little friend. I have healed alot though I wish he could still be here for, I am going through much grey times still that started shortly after his passing. I think about him still.

Fortunatly, I am not reporting further loss of a pet. Infact I have had a little friend with me, a grey cat, likely with Russian Blue somewhere in his ancestory, even though a mix. One can see it in his face. Because of the shape of his tail when he was but a kitten, I named him fox. Grey from tail to head, save for a little white on his belly.

Quite bratty. Very trying at times. Scratches where he should not. Loves to ambush feet. An excellent bug-hunter, with eyes the most keen to movement I've ever seen in any cat personaly known. Cuts me off where I walk. Loves to fall asleep under one of my arms when I lay down. For a while his favorite toy was the cone that came back with him after neutered. Thinks its play time even still most of the time, even when the lights are out and its time for sleep. Can smell slimjims even without opening them, goes nuts over them. Instead of hiding from thunder, he rushes right up to the window.

I'll tell more about him this coming weekend. I must get to bed soon, third shift jobs are a killer.

welcome back Oakshil.
your Fox sounds a little like our cat with the exception that our cat never sleeps on or near anybody.
I'm glad you've got another fur companion to share your life with.

Thank you.

I still miss Spike. It still hurts sometimes. It feels nice to have Fox here. I am going through rough times and could not do it without him. I do not blame myself as much as I used to, for whatever the reason. One of these days, I will have to get photo uploaded. I'd love to show him to those who'd like to see.

What is the name of your cat Elaine, if you do not mind me asking? I like hearing about other's little critter friends. smile.gif

our cat is called "Tilli" short for Matilda, she's a DLH, white with a bit of tortise shell especially her big bushy tail.
she lives indoors as she has a pink nose & here in australia most animals with pink noses get skin cancer.
we met one of her sisters who was black & white DLH who just laid in your arms when u picked her up, so we thort oh this wld be nice.
well there was obviously a reason why 'tilli' was the last in the litter to find a hme.
she is 2 and half years old & still loves to pounce one of our daughters as she walks past her, our other daughter & the cat love to fight, 'tilli' will launch herself at this daughter after only a few swats & our son is rather intimidated by 'tilli'.
tilli wont sit on you, hates being brushed & hates being held.
she has sat on me 3 times in 2 years & that was because it was cold & I didn't hve the heater on. she loves to lick your fingers after you've been eating plain potato crisps, she sits on the top of the lounge & purs like crazy, sometimes she cant resist a swipe to get @ the crisp.....as soon as she's cleaned your hand she is off to curl up somewhere warm.
she has our new dog absolutely petrified, he's a golden retriever who's 3.5yrs old, they sit & stare @ each other or if we aren't around she goes up & hisses @ him and tries to scratch him, she wont do this if any of us are around....sounds cruel....though I don't think so, it's the animal kingdom in action @ our hse.
as the kids say "she is full of personality".
