Remembering Sissycat, The Love of Sissy Options

Sissycat I'm sure you are watching over me, your 2 sisters, your mama, and Pheobe. It has been such a lonely week without your face waiting for me to wake up every morning to feed you. The pain is still so great. Sometimes almost unbearable. But now sometimes I can smile when I look at your pictures instead of burst into tears. It doesn't mean I love you any less. I am just able to remember all the really great times we shared. I am so glad you picked me. Out of the 3 of you born you choose me out of anyone else in my family. There were 6 of us for you to have chosen from. I didn't plan it to be this way. You took over my room and became the boss of it..haha. You bossed me around and told me when to feed you and when to let you in or out, and when you wanted petting and attention. I think I minded you pretty well. My husband says you were really spoiled. Your pictures are right beside my computer screen. Your eyes are looking right at me. Our bond was so strong I don't think there could ever be one as strong. I am trying really hard now with you sister's. Yu and Boogie. They are not as lovable as you. Maybe that is my fault. I love all my furbabies, but you were something else.
Oh Sissy I miss you so very much. Words cannot even describe it. Some people even say I'm crazy for loving a pet so much. You were not just a pet but my baby!!!

Your love for your baby is well understood by many here...it is one of the many emotions we truly share...the love we have for our special ones.

You mention pictures of Sissy. Can you post some? Then when you come here to talk to here..her eyes will be looking at you from your computer screen. I have my Little Guy's picture as my desktop wallpaper so when I turn on the computer, I am looking right into his eyes.

If I remember..I think you said you had her with you for 2 years..Do you have some stories that when you think about things she did...make you smile? It helps so much to tell stories and post pictures...and I, too write letters to my Little Guy..and yes, that helps too.

I wish you peace and healing. And a hug from one who knows the loss..an a hug helps too!

Your words expressed in how much you love and miss Sissy were beautifully written. How lucky you are to know the kind of love a furry kid brings. Though it is difficult to write these kinds of letters to one we miss so much, somehow it helps our broken hearts to mend just a little bit more.

Do other people ever think they feel their pet that has passed rub on them? I just had that happen to me. I sure hope it was Sissy. I was on my knees putting some groceries in the drawer in fridge and felt a brush against my hip. I turned to pet one of the cats, but one was across the room eating and the other was asleep on top of a box. I really think it was her way of showing me she is ok and she loves me.

I am sure that was Sissy. I have read in this forum many times of similar experiences people have had..unfortunately, I have not felt that myself but I can tell you many others have and there simply cannot be any other explanation but...a contact from a love so strong and a bond so firm that special things can happen.

I just scrolled down and reread what you said happened....oh, yes, that sure must have been Sissy..how wonderful to feel that contact..it shows she really is with you all the time..what a precious angel. I don't know if you did or not but I think I sure would have talked to her just to let her know...you were able to feel her touching you again.

Here it is a little after midnight and you are on my mind. There are storms headed this way. I remember you wanting in my lap or to set behind my back if the thunder was bad. I'm sure there is no scary thunder for you now. Both your sisters are here in the living room with me. Boogie was in the bedroom a little bit ago meowing loudly. Maybe she was calling for you. It was unusual seeing her in there since it was always (YOUR ROOM) she never went in there.

I really think it was her way of showing me she is ok and she loves me.

I haven't felt Goliath's physical touch since he passed away. But I have experienced other subtle "hellos" from him. Often I feel his presence in activities we do. Other tiimes I see things I have never seen before of such beauty. It's as though all my senses have been especially keen since Goliath passed away.

I'm sure it was Sissy telling you she is ok and loves you. She knows she doesn't have to worry about never seeing you again.........because she will again in a place that is forever.

Hello just wanted to say I am remembering Sissycat tonight. The pain is getting a little easier. I do have bad times tho. Something just made me stop and look at some cats and kittens up for adoption. One really caught my eye, but I just don't know if i'm ready. Sissy, I'm afraid you will think i'm trying to forget you if i were to take in a new friend to love. That is not what I intend. There is just an emptyness I want to fill. Could never forget you Sissycat. Goodnight I love You!!!!!!!

I'll bet if "one caught" your eye...it was Sissy pointing that baby out to you.

You know it is part of the unconditional love these babies give us that makes them never want us to hurt or be sad. Just as our love for them made us always want them to be happy and not hurt. Sissy is an angel watching over you and I believe you have felt her spirit by you but she knows how much it hurts not to be able to hold and hug and touch our sweethearts physically again and because of that wonderful unconditional love that is so much a part of them, our babies would never mind and would be happy knowing we can smile again. They know we will never forget them, will never stop missing them, will always have times of crying because of that sadness, but if they can't be with us...they understand if we open our home and heart to another. They will always be a part of our heart and a part of us and our lives but they know because we miss that unconditional love they gave us and fate took them away.....they love us too much even in spirit to let us be sad.

You might want to take another look at that baby that "caught" your eye. Sissy may be guiding you more than you realize.

P.S. By the way, I enjoy telling my new baby all about my Little Guy who I lost in Sept. With a new baby you will certainly have an attentive audience to share memories of Sissy with...these babies may not understand the words we say but they really like to look into our eyes and pay attention to what their "important person" is saying to them.

Perhaps the "one" that caught your eye also caught yours. Sometimes signs come in subtle ways from our loved ones. Sissy would want you to share all the love you have for her with another kitty who needs it so much. That's the beauty in our furbabies...........they aren't selfish in any way. Their love lives on forever.

You will know when the time is right for you. Look deep within yourself and you will have the answers you are seeking. Sissy knows you could never forget her anymore than she could ever forget you and all the love you have for her.

You said that you broke down and cried after you finish reading the last two posts but you have to make it two 'cause when I finished reading yours went to tears my self just thinking the great love you feel for sissycat and how painful it has been lately since she went to heaven, God she was so beautiful and sweet as sugar, God Bless you for being such kind and good person, we all care here for you, Buster and Jorge .

I think Sissy cat knows just how utterly special and irreplaceable she is. i don't believe that she would find your love for another kitty to be a betrayal...but rather an extension of your love for her.

You have a good heart...it will lead you in rhe right direction.

It is a beautiful day outside. The sun is shinning bright. I think I will take a walk out and go talk to you at your graveside. Sissy you are on my mind alot the last few days. I have been reading about other people who have lost their precious pets the last couple days. I know the saddness and emptyness they are feeling. It still hurts me terrible but it has helped me coming here knowing we are going through the same grieving process and hurting and healing the same. Don't know what I would do without all my friends here. I am still new to this site, but also hope I help others in trying to give hope and comfort as everyone does for me. Again Thanks to All here.

I will take my walk and have some time with my Sissycat now.

In the morning will be 3 weeks since you've gone to a better place. I cannot believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a hard couple of days. My stepdad (like my real dad) is very very ill and may not even make it through tonight. It has been making me think of you Sissy. This has been a hard month.

I think of you often.

I'm sorry to hear your Dad's health is failing. This news has to be especially difficult for you to cope with at this time since it is happening so close to Sissy's passing just 3 weeks ago. Life and death go hand in hand and none of us can have one without the other. Though it breaks our hearts when our loved ones pass on and we miss them sooooooo much, we can find peace in knowing our separation from them is only temporary. One day we all will reunite in a place where only love lives and lasts forever.
