Within a period of two years, I lost both my dogs and a cat. It's important to know I am a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. This was not the case when I lost my animals. Charlie Brown was a typical sweet, goofy lab who loved swimming, chasing sticks, being with kids, overly friendly. If someone yelled "hey Charlie...wanna go for a ride" he would jump into anyone's car. But he was 16, had gone blind, partially deaf could no longer go out without great difficulty. She was only 7 yrs old but had already developed severe back degeneration, then acquired peri-&%^ fistula a genetic trait which shepards are predisposed to. I had her put to sleep. The main point in all this, besides of course the loss of my beloved animals, is that I COULD NOT
