Lightning-Strike Pet Loss Support Forum _ New Beginnings _ Our New Family Member!

Here is a picture of our 8-week old Ruby that we just adopted yesterday. She will be spayed tomorrow morning, and then we will pick her up and bring her home. She purred and even cooed when I held her yesterday, and then she reached up and kissed me on the chin. My precious Midnight used to do that too, and I know he's happy with our new family member. I do miss him so, and I even cried a little today. But Ruby needs love and we want to give it to her, just as we gave it to our precious Midnight.

Hi, Angelinda, I just discovered your topic about Ruby. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful new family member with us. I hope all is going well, and that she is now well on her way to full recovery from her surgery. I know your beloved Midnight is so happy for both you and your husband - - her Forever Mom and Dad - - to have a new precious companion to love. Please know your precious Ruby, you, and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers that you will have a long, happy, and healthy earthly journey together - - and please let us know how your precious little girl is doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Thank you so much Danny's Mom, Moon Beam and Kerriyi for your congrats! Ruby is doing quite well, and she is VERY energetic and keeps us on our todes! But she is such a delight, and she has given us so much joy. Here's the latest pic of her. She's now 16 weeks old and I'd say she's got what is known as "tortitude"!

Hi, Angelinda, thank you so much for sharing your precious little Ruby with us. What a sweet little girl!!! The bathroom sink seems to swallow her up - - she is so tiny. I know she brings much joy to you and Don, as you both bring much love to her. She is so blessed to have you and Don for her Forever Mom and Dad.

I hope today is treating you, Don, and your precious little Ruby kindly, and that each of you will have a very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evening. Please know your precious Ruby, you, and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers, and that I look forward to knowing how your precious little girl is doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Danny's Mom, I didn't know that Ruby's size is small for 4 months of age. We've never adopted a kitty this young before, so the stages of growth are another thing that is new to us. It does indeed look like someone painted over her with black and forgot the orange spot! A few of our friends have said she looks a bit like "Gizmo" from the movie "Gremlins"! Fortunately, she can still eat after midnight and not change into a scary looking monster! lol Moon Beam, Ruby does indeed look tiny in that sink, and it seems to swallow her up! Thank you for your nice words, saying she is blessed for having Don and I as her Forever parents. We feel so blessed ourselves, and cherish our little girl! I know that Uncle Midnight would approve of our baby Ruby.
