On Friday my husband and I will bring two new kittens into our lives to share our home and our love. I am feeling
excited, afraid, happy, and sad all at once. After losing my beautiful Ari so suddenly and still not knowing what
took him, I am afraid, but I know that I will love our new boys with all my heart. I know I will never replace
the one and only that Ari was and is, but am looking forward to the joy his two little brothers will bring . I shall tell them
bedtime stories about their mighty Bengal brother and about how special he was and always will be to our family.

For Ari: Thank you for the legacy you left. Without you, I would not be who I am today and without you I couldn't be
who I will be tomorrow. I hope you will look down on us and be happy knowing that the love we give to your baby brothers is only possible because you loved us so much. The feeling is mutual. I love you, my Ari-Gato.

Dear kk

Congratulations on your two new family additions! After I lost my Gretta, the kindest chocolate lab who ever lived, she sent me another dog, Rufus, my BIG Black Dog. I believe our animals, like ourselves, have spirits that survive after their physical bodies have gone from this earth. I believe they see us, inside and out. And with knowledge, they know when (or not) to send us new furbabies to love. OF course that doesn't mean our love for the "sender" - in fact Gretta went home almost 4 years ago and Rufus about 16 months ago and I still shed tears for them every day. I also write to them (and to other dogs and cats - and even a giraffe - to let them know that they are not forgotten and are loved just as they were when we could sense their physical bodies.

Ari - Thank you for sending your mom and dad two new kittens for them to love. And if you have any words of wisdom about how to raise these babies, please whisper it in there ears.

Happy cats all around!

Gretta and Rufus's mom

Hi kk,
That is such wonderful news to hear that two new little kittens have found their new family with you and your husband. I remember when I first lost my Jasper, you were one of the first posters to reply to me, and we were going through much the same situation, losing our precious kitties so suddenly and at such a young age, and not knowing what took them away from us. Your words during those horrific first days really helped me to get through my pain, I just wanted to let you know that. Although I felt so very sorry at what you were going through, just knowing I was not alone in this struggle made such a difference, and your words of support helped me so much.

My dear cat Jingles and I have been doing much better lately, but we still miss our sweet boy so much, there is always that feeling that someone is missing, but we are so far from where we were during those first weeks. I am getting closer and closer to opening my heart and home to another little one. There is a cat rescue where I work, so every day that is the first place I seem to be drawn to, they are all so sweet, kind of wish I could take them all home with me, but I just know my Jasper is going to lead me to the little one who will fit into my family almost as perfectly as he did.

Your words to Ari are absolutely beautiful and so very touching, they are so filled with the special love you both shared. I am sure that Ari is looking down and just beaming with pride and happiness that he gave you so very much love, and left so much love behind, that you are able to give these two new little ones a loving home. I am so very happy for you, and I will be looking forward to seeing pictures of your new little ones. It just warms my heart to know that after all this sadness and pain, that there is always room in our world for more love, and there is always hope for a new beginning.

Hi, kk, thank you so much for sharing with us how you're doing, and for sharing your wonderful news of your new companions. I wish you and your new companions a happy, healthy, long earthly journey together. I will look forward to seeing pictures of your new fur child "sons" - - if you would like to share them here.

Please know your beloved Ari is so very proud of you for opening your heart and home to new companions. There is no doubt in my mind that he has guided your paths to this moment in time when you are ready.

I hope today is treating you kindly, kk, and that you will have a peaceful evening blessed with your beloved Ari's sweet Living Spirit to comfort you. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how you're doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam
