Cloned Animals, Are you and your furbabies eating this??? Options

Another dietary consideration in today's world is now CLONED animals for consumption. We knew it was coming, and now it's here. Whether you are a meat-eater or not, you need to at least think seriously about what you're giving your furkids to eat. So here's the latest scoop on cloned animal flesh. As usual (*sigh*), it's worse, more gruesome and more prevalent than you probably know:

The risks this poses to theirs and our health (if you eat animals) is horrifying and very real. Yet another great reason to start making your own homemade food for them. At least then you'll have more control over what's going into their precious bodies. As I always say, the power of the CONSUMER is consumate, and if you give that power away to others, you have no one to blame but yourself for what happens in the marketplace, and the consequences thereof. We have the power to collapse these industries in favour of a more sane and moral way of life....but it's up to each one of us to own that power and take appropriate action by it. The future of yourselves, your babies' lives and these other innocent and manipulated beings is in your hands. What's it going to be?

Up until a month or so ago, I had never considered making homemade meals for my furkids. Thanks to you, both of my furkids get homemade meals each and every day. It's much easier than I thought it would be and both of my furkids are well worth the extra effort. Their coats are shinier and overall they are much more active and seem even happier than they were before.

I'm finding that cooking for my kids is helping Amos get his weight down, even though there's no net change in the volume of food I'm feeding him. Birga's weight has never fluctuated by so much as an ounce in all her long life, but her allergies are much improved.

Exactly. And this is the easy and visible proof of proper nutrition as being the single-most important part of what anyone can do to raise the bar on keeping and maintaining good/better/best health.

But even with homemade food, you must source out your ingredients as carefully as you can. That is the first part of the point. Chain grocery stores will not guarantee their meat is not cloned because the consumer has not DEMANDED strict labeling laws as protection. It is pretty much the same in both Canada and the U.S..

The second part is, of course, putting a stop to making (in this case, literally "making"!) these animals into victims, who are suffering just to supply cheaper & cheaper sources of food for humans. It is yet another immoral means to an end. Dr. Sears' concerns don't lay much with the animals themselves, but only with OUR health and safety, unlike mine.

Yes, and I'm sorry to say that the same "Animal Health" scientists at Texas A & M, who acted so compassionately, so skillfully, and so creatively, to help little Sadie in her extremity are the same ones leading the charge to this heinous cloning business. Very frustrating! Very disappointing!


Fortunately, for us at least, it's easier to supply adequate protein to canines, without resort to cheap chain-grocery meat. Sourcing safe nourishing food for BK. was an expensive tricky proposition, especially given his passion for tuna, and hotdogs. Gosh...how I long to be doing that for him again. I hope he is hip deep in a river of his beloved blueberry yogurt.
