As some of you know, my bestfriend Marie a thirteen year old Blue Point Siamese had to be put to sleep this past Saturday on the 20th. My heart is aching for her right now.
I went through some pictures today and found lots of her. I always snapped random pictures of her. She was so photogenic. I even found a video I took of her being silly one day.

click
When ever you caught her eyes in the sunlight they were so blindingly blue.

click
She hated cold weather.

click
Whenever I would pull my suitcase out, getting ready to go somewhere, she would immediatly jump in it hoping I would take her with me. When I would leave home, it drove my mom crazy. Marie wouldn't eat and would mourn my absence the whole time.

click
Her famous pose. When she was really happy and feeling good she would always stretch out her front leg. I took this one day when I was cleaning my room top to bottom. I'd taken my sheets off my bed to wash and she was pretty excited over the empty bed.

click
Which is when I took this video of her playing. You can hear the tags on her collar jingle. That is a sound I long to hear again.

click
click
This was one of our many naps together, and how she always slept with me. It used to bug me. She would hog the blankets and want to sleep mouth to mouth sharing breath. Now I just miss it.

click
You know how moms are. They love Christmas pictures. Marie was always in ours.

click
She loved Christmas decorations and playing in the presents.

click
When Marie wasn't playing in presents she enjoyed seeing how small of a box she could fit into.

click
"Mom, don't you have enough pictures of me already?"

click
Making sure my shoes didn't walk off was one of her favorite things to do.

click
If she can't get in the box then she liked to sleep on top of them.

click
"I will not open my eyes for this picture."

click
She liked assisting me on the computer the best way she knew how.... sleeping.

click
She enjoyed laying in the center of the living room so that she was sure all eyes were on her.

click
Seeing what kind of trouble she could stir up in the laundry room.

click
I miss you Marie.

All of these pictures don't even begin to explain the joy, smiles, and happiness this girl brought to me through the years. They don't being to explain all the times I was four and she was a kitten wearing baby doll clothes and being pushed around in a baby stroller. They can't capture all the many hugs and kisses, snoozes and snuggles we've shared through our thirteen years of friendship. She was my reason to smile after a bad day. She was my bestfriend.

What a beautiful, beautiful tribute to Marie. I absolutely love all the pictures and comments.

The first one to make me laugh was when you said she didn't like cold weather and showed her all snuggled up in a bed under the covers. The Christmas ones were so sweet also but this first one became my favorite...and so, when you ended the tribute with that same picture..I had to laugh and smile all over again...cause it is just so precious.

She is a gorgeous girl and I can see why you enjoyed (and so did she) taking pictures of her.
Add any more you find and wish too. We never get tired of pictures.

She looks like such a very special girl. I am glad you had her a number of years so you have lots of good memories (and pictures).

We so wish they were always here longer but that's only natural to feel that way about our
best friends.

You really did a wonderful job here. She looks so cuddly and sweet and I see how she loved to sleep right next to you.

She definitely looks like an Angel and I know she is still with you..in your heart. That is where she will never leave and where she is a healthy girl again.

Thanks for sharing such a sweetheart. If you find more pictures...I'll be back to check.

Judy

I'm very sorry for your loss Bubba.

Thank you all for the sweet words on the pictures. Yes, her cuddled up in my bed is one of my favorite pictures. Even though I have a big bed she always managed to take up all the room.

Dress up.
One of my favorites.
Blue eyes.
Cheese!
Let it all hang loose.
Sleep on it.

These latest pictures are all beautiful. What a sweet, precious, gorgeous girl.

My favorite in the last bunch (it is hard to pick ONE) is the one you called "one of my favorites".

We love looking at these so very much. We smile at the poses because we know these were special healthy times and those memories will never leave.

Hugs to you and your Angel Marie.

Judy

There is nothing more precious than a spoiled and loved cat. What a wonderful tribute and such beautiful pictures. You were so lucky to have had her for so many years. I'm glad to see you took the time to take many photos. That is the one thing I regret with my cats I had when I was younger. Not enough. Her eyes reminded my of my Daisy's. However when the light hit them just right they were red! Very strange. You will hold her forever in your heart. I am sorry you are going thru so much pain right now.. Hugs.. Ann

Tomorrow will be four weeks since Marie died. I still don't miss her any less. My room still looks bare with out her in it and my arms still feel empty at night when I don't have her to cuddle with.
I never realized just how big of a roll she played in my life. She was there daily to comfort me if I was upset, she was there purring sitting on my dresser watching me straighten my hair and do my makeup, she was there every day when I came home, always happy to see me.
My life almost feels empty without her. Like half of me is missing.

I really miss her.

When I lost my last of 3 siblings last year...Little Guy....my home truly felt empty. I didn't want to go into rooms and see the emptiness so I put pictures of all of them in frames and every room I walk into...I can look into their eyes and feel like they are still part of my home. Where my Little Guy liked to curl up, I put a flower arrangement in a pot there so it would not look empty.
I don't want to try and remember exactly what it felt like to look into all of their beautiful eyes and the pictures are what helped changed that for me.

Then my addition of a new boy from my local SPCA completed the picture by now I have this flashing black body racing through my home and making me laugh...or playing with a golf ball...or just being a happy, healthy cat...who looks so much like my twin boys.

Maybe some pictures of Marie in your room would provide some comfort......

I know how hard all this is...we all do...hugs are being sent here to you for any comfort they can help with. wub.gif
