started the day with an email from PayPal that said the L-S site had received a donation. while this helps "keep the lights on" for the site, i will always make sure it is funded and also donate any remaining funds to our local no-kill shelters. it's a great way to help save innocent creatures both large and small. thanks again to LoveMyMickey, blessings for a happy 2013!

In loving memory of Mickey's second year angel-versary. It's hard to believe it has been that long, but yet it seems like forever. Thank you once again for the forum. I'm always glad to send a donation.....God Bless...LoveMyMickey

just wanted to thank those who have been using the Lightning-Strike amazon.com link to buy books and more.

over the past 6 months, the amazon.com affiliate program has earned $20.81 for the site! every time you use the link and purchase from amazon, our site gets a few pennies. it adds up! as always, it will go into the "kitty" to help pay site expenses this year. thanks again!

Today the annual site fees for 2013.2014 were paid to the web host in the amount of $238.80 USD.

BIG THANKS to those who supported the site this year! I have updated the donations tally here.

I do want to emphasize as always that the site will go on as long as I do, with or without donations...it is just too important of a resource for people like us (hopefully i can pass it along to one of my children one day).

With that said, all funds received beyond the site hosting fee (via member donation and through amazon.com affiliate rewards) will go to one or more shelters in the form of funds or supplies. This way, lightning-strike.com can help both pet-lovers in need as well as the animals they love.

To donate, visit our pet loss donations page.

Hi, Marc, thank you so much for updating us on how things are going in support of this wonderful website you provide for us in loving tribute to your beloved Tribbles. You work very hard to keep this website and forum running - - your efforts are genuinely appreciated.

I hope today is treating you and all your family kindly, Marc, and that each of you will have very peaceful, blissful, and cozy evenings blessed with your beloved Tribbles' sweet Living Spirit to comfort you. And please know you and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Big kitty purrs go out to moon_beam for her continued support and help as moderator for our site, which commemorated 20 years online last January. While her words make me blush a little, it's always made me so glad that L-S has helped so many people over the years. All of it, of course, memorialized by Tribble's passing so long ago. Here's what moon_beam had to say:

QUOTE
"I dedicate my contribution to the honor of the Lightning Strike Forum - - for its wonderful mission, and for your thoughtfulness and dedication in offering this venue where we can come together for both individual and collective comfort, compassion, encouragement, and hope that cannot be found elsewhere in our lives during the difficult grief adjustment journey to the physical absence of our beloved companions.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam"

Thanks for caring so much about your pets...
