I want to believe
In Heaven's Sweet Gate
Where you, my Angel, eagerly await
For me to join you
Together again
For an eternity of love
Free from worry or pain

I'd spend all my time
Just holding you near
Kissing your nose
Scratching your ear

We'd play all the games
That you loved to play
With no interruptions
No, "Mummy can't stay"

And oh what a joy
How happy I'd be
Finally complete
Finally free

Yes, I DO believe
In Heaven's Sweet Gate,
Where you, my Angel, eagerly await
For me to join you
Together again
For an eternity of love
Free from worry or pain

I'd like to thank moon_beam who, in a way, was an inspiration for this poem. You frequently mention in your posts about "Heaven's Sweet Gate" and I kind of fell in love with the idea. I was just lying in bed (it's 12:40 am over here) thinking about it, then this poem popped into my head. I had to turn the laptop on to write it.

And to my sweetheart Daisy: I look forward to the day when you are there to meet me at the Gate smile.gif I love you.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone,
For parts of us went with you ... the day God called you home

My beautiful Angel, Daisy - I will love and miss you forever xx

Dear Cheryl--

I loved your poem--it's wonderful!! Makes me think of meeting up with Poppers and Ladywolf, and just playing all day long, with no interruptions.

Hi, Cheryl, your poem is wonderful. Thank you so o o o much for sharing it with us. I am honored that in some way I have been able to help you with the inspiration of it in my posts. Your poem reflects the love connection you share with Daisy, and this, Cheryl, is the greatest source of all inspiration. Thank you for sharing with us the love connection you have with your precious Daisy.

Cheryl, I hope this evening will be a peaceful one for you, and the entire weekend. Thank you for your comforting encouragement and support, and equally importantly for your friendship. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, Cheryl, and look forward to knowing how you're doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

In heaven's perfect garden there is no grief or pain, and all of God's creation join the angels' sweet refrain.

The most blessed way I have of knowing God's comforting love and grace is to look into the eyes and heart of God's creatures' sweet angelic face.
