I have been caring for my baby girl pug, Niko's puppies since her passing on October 15th. They are now just shy of four weeks old and doing wonderfully. I have one girl and two boys. I will be keeping the little girl, named Echo because she looks so much like her mommy and one of the little boys. These puppies are little pieces of my Niko and they will be extremely spoiled. biggrin.gif

Hi Lisa, Niko's Mom,
what very cute puppies, how nice to have a part of your Niko, that is so lucky, congradulations, our new little puppy love Auggie is 7mos now, and giant, amazing how puppies grow so fast, and still chewing and jumping, but seems to be listening better so I know it won't go on too long, the heart is full again, sometimes I see red goldens like my buddy, which still can tear my heart apart, but I am aware that my new boy is pure love and chance, to be with us, we are so lucky, he deserves just as much as my first guy. Its nice to know that he's always with us, never far from our minds. Congradulations...and good luck with puppihood, it goes by so fast.

Bye for now, Tory, Hrudey, Frank and Auggie's Momma

Lisa,

OMG! adorable. i'm not as good as my dot is with dog breeds but are those pugs? i think that's so cool that you are keeping one, in addition to Niko's spirit buzzing all over your home, you'll have a little mini-her to stare at and love on. i voluteered yesterday to puppy handle for a woman who's black lab gave birth to 4 lab puppies. it was such a warming experience. they were already claimed, going over to the canine companion organization but if they weren't ...there was one that just melted my little heart. too soon but healing just the same.

more pics of the pups please.....

Your puppies are adorable! It is very nice to be able to hold onto a part of your special friend through the babies. It truly is a New Beginnings for you and that is so wonderful! Happiness and the best of everything now and in the future! We cannot change the past but we do have choices in the future. Having more special friends is a great choice...they will bring you more love and joy. You will never forget your special Niko but you are making new memories with these small, adorable ones.

We lost one of the babies recently, but we have decided to keep the other two. The girl that looks just like Niko and the littlest boy. I thought sharing with you would be good for me and maybe for others as well.

What breathtaking pictures! I especially love the tribute to Niko in the background. You are so right-these pictures help the rest of us on the website-they make us smile amidst the grief. Best of luck with these beautiful little babies. They are scrumptious!
