Hey Buddy

I miss saying that so much. Two years and I still do. It's two years today, I can't believe I haven't held you for that long. I wish I knew what to say, but I don't.

I'm glad we had you to love and to give all your love to us. I miss you so much my big Buddy. I wish I could say more but I am just too sad today. I'm thinking of you and loving you still.

We miss you so much Moose kitty, you were so very special.

"Wishing I could hear your voice again, knowing that I never will".

Love you
Mommy

My Little Guy was a year gone in September but I could echo all of your words.

You said everything just so beautifully. I think we all can relate to and feel all the feelings
you spoke about.

We truly will love them and miss them forever. And..want them back forever.

Hugs from everyone who knows your pain. wub.gif

May you be showered in the beauty of the memories you and Moose made together on this earth. Have faith that one day you will indeed hear his sweet voice again. wub.gif

Hi Moose Mom,

I know the words don't come easy but believe me, you don't have to tell Moose anything today that he doesn't already know. He had so much love showered on him during his life here with you and your family. That's what you need to remember & concentrate on during the times when you're feeling sad. You were the reason he was such a good cat & companion. He was loved. The greatest gift, ever....for anyone to give their pet and vice versa.

Lori,

Hard to believe it has been 2 years. Alley's 2 year mark is coming up in December. I know just how you are feeling. Sometimes it seems like forever ago that they were with us and other times it hurts like it was yesterday.

Thinking of you and Moose

hugs
Paula

Thank you all. I meant to come right back but I've had a bit of a tough time. When you love them so much it's so dang hard to lose them.

LoveThem
I remember when you lost Little Guy. I can't believe it's been a year for you. Thanks for the hugs and right back at you.

Beth
Thanks I'm so sure I will hear him again, somewhere. I'm so ready. Thanks for the hugs and love, back at you.

kimm
Somedays I just wish I had the words to let him know how very much he is missed. We loved him so much. Thank you for your kind words.

Paula (AlleysMama)
I was thinking of you and your Alley just a couple of days ago. It just seems impossible that it can be two years ago. Even with a new guy life is never the same. I'm hoping your family is doing great. I'll be thinking about you and Alley in December.

Lori,

If you remember, we share that sad 23rd Angelversary, although in different months. I just went through Nissa's 2 Year in Aug. It was so hard I couldn't even write about it here, though I put on a 'life celebration' type luncheon for our girl that day that at least helped me feel I paid more tribute to her...although no amount of tribute ever seems enough, right? So I can imagine how hard Moose's Two Year Angelversary must have been for you, too.

They're ALL hard to bear, I find...each passing month bringing back pain and longing. But those Year marks are always extra-difficult. And I know what you mean about not even quite knowing what to say, it's always just so heart-wrenching and mind-numbing. I still mentally shake my head, too, wondering how in the world it could possibly have been this long already. My heart is SURE it's not been any longer than maybe ONE year, certainly not two. *SIGH* The wounds re-open, afresh.

There's just no 'cure' for it. We'll always miss our kids, no matter how long or short it's been. Sharing tears and hugs.....

I did remember that we share that "23rd" day. It's so hard to do anything for them on the day of. The year is harder for sure. Thanks for the hugs and back at you.

"A Sonnet to Lori and Her Fur Babies"
By: AngelCareOne

Lori, Lori, Morning Glory; Loving, caring, bold.
Butch a baby, like no other; Bless his heart of gold.

None can compare to Alex rare whose purr is sweet and pure.
Moose has such charm abundantly to melt your heart for sure.

Each one different and unique; Each fur child unsurpassed.
Her Love for every one of them Eternally shall last.

Lori writes them poetry and songs straight from her soul.
They smile with glee pleased as can be which is their Mommy's goal.

Butch, Alex, Moose and all their friends at Rainbow Bridge agree,
Their Mommy's such an Angel who Loves endlessly all three.

They see and hear their Mommy dear in all she does for them.
Butch, Alex, Moose and all their friends call Lori "Precious Gem."

I'm here to state the obvious though everybody knows.
No better Mom could those three have and certainly it shows!

Thank you for this it is beautiful. Made me cry again.

I was just reading about your Alex, I'm so sorry you lost him. I'm just so happy you rescued Styx and Buddy! What a story. What goes around comes around and I'm sure those people will get theirs.

I'd love to see my Alex kitty playing with your Alex at the bridge. My Alex was white, they'd be beautiful together. I love the green on your Alex, what a beautiful boy.

I'm thinking of you and yours.

Dearest Lori, I'm so pleased you enjoyed the Sonnet I composed for you and your fur babies. It really wrote itself through my fingers considering and remembering all I've read from you. Honestly that is so and you do honor me. Also, thank you very much for your concern and support to me and Alex. Oh, I do feel so blessed to have gotten to Buddy dog and Styx kitty just in time. They had one more day. Bless Dana there at the pound for going above and beyond the call of duty. She is truly an Angel!

Yes, those three culprits will answer one way or the other. Can you say Karma? I believe. You bet. Bless You, Sweetie!

Sooooo, you say that your Alex was white and you'd love to see them playing together at The Rainbow Bridge. Well, wait no longer! I have five videos to show you which I pray will bring you comfort and warm your heart as it does mine. I'm saving the most incredible video for last. Wowie, a true miracle and love story if I every heard and saw one with my own two eyes. Holy Cow!

Here's the first one and I'll set up each video just a bit for you. They are all so very ... Well, I'll let you see for yourself, Lori. Okay? Here goes with the white kitten fur baby. Does this remind you a little of your Alex when he was a kitten? I'd love to know if you don't mind sharing, please?

Lookie at this darling, adorable, precious white kitten playing and making fast friends with the feather kid birdie. Awww! At just before 35 seconds (I'd say exactly 34 seconds) into the video, the cockatiel kisses the white kitten on the nose. It happens pretty fast so you may want to pause the video, back it up and watch again to make sure your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Awww, so precious!!! Please turn up your volume and click on the URL Link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvOMOVoG8zQ

Next:

Okay! Here's a Quaker which is what my Alex was and he has a "Fatal Attraction" to this kitty. Here I go again saying, "Awww!" So very, very precious indeed! Yep, I'm crying but I promise honest and for true they are happy, happy tears. Would you look at that Quaker parrot loving, cuddling, touching Charlie kitty with his feet in affection, preening Charlie's facial fur and ears ... And so much more ... And so much more ... All right at Charlie kitty's head, face, and chest as Charlie kitty just lies there enjoying and taking it all in with much appreciation and methinks mutual affection. See the look of contentment on Charlie's face? Hear him purring in the video? Oh My Goodness!
*Great Big Smile!*

Make no mistake about it that Charlie kitty is relishing every moment. Having worked with so very many species of animals in Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation for close to thirty years, I sure recognize the signs. Also, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know if Charlie kitty did not want Dewey the Quaker parrot there, the kitty would either attack Dewey, bat him away or simply get up and move leaving Dewey birdie there. Also, Charlie kitty does not have his ears in that pinned back position which kitties do when they are upset nor is he doing that quick flick motion with his tail. Yep, Charlie's loving it and milking it for all it's worth. Ain't that something, Lori? And another "Awww!" Please click on the Link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHCz5cLjorc

Next:

Mmmkay, I can't leave out this one of a very beautiful fur kid kitty lying in his lovely kitty bed and lookie at his friend the Lovebird parrot. Again, you'll note that the kitty is not upset as his ears are not in the pinned back position, his forehead isn't wrinkled and he's not doing that quick tail flick which kitties do when they're getting "ticked off" so to speak. Oh yes, we do know our fur baby kitties say bunches without even making a sound. Yep, he finally gets his fill and gently walks away after a couple minutes but so very sweet.

Again, the tiny Peach face Lovebird is right on top of this precious kitty's head and doing a very happy dance in addition to preening the kitty's fur. Lookie!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJysVk0Gdww

(*Note: Shhhh. I'll share a secret about what you just viewed above. It's true that I had three pairs of Lovebirds for several years, hand raised their babies and they all loved my kitty back then whose name was Cocoa. I love him and miss him so much still. What a wonderful kitty! Anyway, and this is embarrassing but I wanted to tell you just in case you share this video with others. Errrr ... Let me put it this way. That "Lovebird" is living up to his name. That is indeed a "happy dance" but he's also ... Errr ... Okay, I'll just say it. The male Lovebird is "making love" to the kitty's head and ears. Trust me, I know my birds and have had tons of experience with Lovebirds ...

Oh My Gosh! I'm sitting here all by myself except for Buddy dog and Styx kitty and I'm blushing beet red. LOL! Still, I felt you should know. Hey, the birdie is most certainly doing the Happy Dance. Hehehe and Major Blush!*)

Best For Last!

Lori, this miraculous, awesome true story you're about to see all began with an act of terrible cruelty. Someone threw a bag over this couple's fence and inside was a teeny, tiny kitten not even weaned yet. Grrr. But, low and behold, enter Moses the wild crow who I believe was sent by Him and the rest is history as you can see for yourself.
Oh, it's narrated, too.

In the very beginning, Moses crow would put his beak into the ground, dig up "food" and would feed it to Cassie kitty who was so tiny and not yet even weaned. You know, creepy, crawly bugs and other such things that birds eat in the wild. He fed Cassie kitty just like a bird feeds their young. I know you've seen that. How amazing!

As Cassie grew, Moses made sure to keep Cassie out of the street and any other harm. You see, Cassie didn't trust the dear, sweet married couple for quite some time so depended completely on Moses. Oh, the couple did put out food for Cassie when she got a bit older but would have to leave it there and walk away or she was too scared to approach. It's okay. Cassie did finally warm up to her gracious human hosts. Awww!

Well, Cassie kitty and Moses crow bonded and became great friends. They eat together and Moses still not only puts Cassie's kibbles in her mouth to feed her but he also makes sure that she gets first dibs on all that wonderful kitty kibble food.

To this day and from dusk to dawn they're together playing and Moses remains very protective of Cassie kitty. Like I said, Cassie kitty eventually learned to love and trust the "human" couple, but her very best friend is obviously Moses the crow. God Bless Mo the Crow and more awesome proof of His Divine intervention and that Angels breathe! Please click below. Oh, I highly recommend a tissue to catch your happy tears, too. By the way, I do have more current videos of Moses and Cassie together still if you're interested. Just let me know and please click on the Link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0xRrtS-_Wk

Lori, I have dozens of videos like these and even better. One of my favorites is the "Seven cats and one bird." The music does get kind of corny but this baby bird was rescued, hand fed, weaned and cared for until it was time for release which was successful. None of the seven kitties minded one bit. The birdie does appear to be a juvenile magpie like on those funny Windex commercials. LOL, I do love those commercials. Oh, heck. Just in case you're curious to see, here's the video. Sorry about the corny music. The first song is nice but then ... Well, you'll see and here you go.
So very sweet indeed. Enjoy, Dear One!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgdA3LQIKcw

I hope you enjoyed, Lori and Thank you again so very, very much. Your concern and support warms my heart more than you can possibly imagine. Many Bright Blessings of Love, Light and Laughter!!!

Big Comforting Hugs, Love, Peace and Angels to You and Your Fur Babies!!! wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

Always,
Dottie xoxoxox

It's funny how we go thru life, our daily routine, and sometimes we get a glimps of a memory. But when the day comes, the one that we lost them on, all the sadness is back with us and we relive that pain all over again. It's human nature I guess. My sweet Daisy Jane's angelversay is approaching on Nov 11. It will be 16yrs. We just never forget the day we lost the most cherished love in our lives. Sometimes when I drive by my old house, I never think of the childhood days I had growing up there, only of the pets I had there. .Sometimes (don't think I'm silly) but I'll close my eyes, envision myself giving them a hug and kiss and letting it go like a balloon to float to heaven for them to catch...many hugs to you on your 2 yr mark.. Thanks for this, hugs back at you.

It's really true, the day we lost them is so, so hard. It's a rough time of year for me, I lost my Butch on August 26th and my Alex on October 1, 12 years ago. Then Moose on the 23rd of October just 2 years ago. I have a very hard time every year.

Your Arthur was so beautiful! So sorry you lost him and Daisy Jane. I don't think you are silly at all for giving them your love however. Love balloon's to heaven sound good to me. :-)

Hugs back at you.

Similarly, we wrote messages of love on small pieces of paper and inserted them in helium balloons as part of Nissa's burial ceremony - 19 grey (silver) and pink balloons, one for each of her years, plus one silver and one pink heart balloons at the top, to represent hers and my entwined hearts/souls. I also added some 'sticky' scrapbooking tags to the outsides of each balloon....and sent them all off skyward. Did almost the same for Sabin's ceremony 8 yrs. ago, and during a totally windless day (not common here, either), HE sent one breeze big enough to catch and send them soaring at JUST and ONLY the moment I was to release them..... wub.gif....what a guy! happy.gif Whereas, Nissa kept all the rain at bay for her ceremony, until all the most important parts were finished.

This is one of those meaningful things we can do on any Angelversary, even if it's just one balloon, and sometimes we receive such signs of them watching and loving us back, when we do.

How's it been since the 23rd, Lori? I know for me, the feelings on those dates can hang on for quite awhile afterwards.

What a beautiful touching poem! It brought tears to my eyes thinking about my own sweet Alley whose anniversary day is coming up soon. I can't play the videos here at work, but have made a note to check them from home.

Dearest Lori, and Hugs right back at you, too!!! wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

Oh, Paula. *Sniffle!* Honest and for true my eyes are filled with tears, Dear One. Paula? I can't find your post, thread or anything you've shared about your precious baby fur child girl Alley. Could you please tell me where I can find it or them if there's more than one? I sure do want to be there and of some small comfort to you whenever that anniversary to The Rainbow Bridge arrives.

Wait a moment. I just noticed your siggy at the bottom of your post with Alley's Story and it's clickable. I'll do that right now. And I see that under Alley's Story link there are the dates so it will be December the ninth. One more thing, Paula. You said: "Always in My Heart." How right you are because truly .... You carry her heart in your heart. You sure do! Hugs and Blessings!!! wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

Always,
Dottie xoxoxox

PS. I have a whole bunch more videos that I just know will bring you comfort and even a smile to your face. I'll locate and fetch them then post the links for you to watch at your leisure when you're at home and able to view them. Okay? Okay! More Hugs!!!

I'm doing okay, still a little down. Moose's "Birthday" is next week, so until I get all of it behind me, well you know. Poor baby, he would have been 12. (sigh)

The good news is Autumn had her 12th birthday and Majic's is almost 2!! Something good and fun to look forward too.

I know how you feel. Now I think of a Birthday as the special day my babies came into my life by being born in my backyard so it is a day I can smile and be thankful it occurred..instead of letting it be a sad reminder (although that IS hard to ignore). It's been a year in Sept I lost my last one..my precious Little Guy... but his first birthday was in May of this year..he would have been 17. I never had one that many years but have known others who did.

We can just say Happy Birthday, Moose...and we are sending you a hug, you beautiful baby.

We just will never forget them or stop missing and loving them. We are so very glad they were a part of our lives.

Hugs to you and your other babies.

Majic is doing so well. He is the funniest guy, doesn't walk still runs or hops, lol. When he gets done with his dinner he covers it, with paper or small boxes. He will drag things from all over the dang house to make sure it's well covered.

He's getting to be such a big boy, and his fur is so amazing. So soft. He's not much of a lover, still a roughy-toughy.

Erm I got your hint but don't have any more pics of him on this computer, sorry. I guess I need to work on that don't I?

You know my Butch kitty was 22 when he passed. I got him at about 8 months so I had him a long, long time. It was such a blessing. You are right, no matter how long or short a time we have them, they bless our lives.

Hugs back at you, to you and yours.

Mommy loves and misses you guys. She remember's all of you, even though it's too many to name each one. I can't wait to see you again.
