Hi everyone

My beloved dog Bruno passed away on 5 January 2011 and this forum was a tremendous help for coping with his loss.

I recently wrote an uplifting short story (17 pages) called Noreen the Show Cat, which you can read for free at http://labs.triggerstreet.com/short-story/...en-the-show-cat

It's a feel-good story smile.gif If you read it, I'd love it if you could leave a review for it on that Triggerstreet Labs site.

Warm regards

Peter

On 5 January 2012 I lit candles in St Peter's Cathedral (Belfast, Northern Ireland) for my beloved dog Bruno who died 1 year ago, on 5 January 2011 http://flic.kr/p/b7V1Kk

I made a tribute video "Bruno Brown Eyes" to Bruno here http://youtu.be/pd986yK8Kto

In his memory I also made a video for Guide Dogs in Northern Ireland http://youtu.be/84SdKrlCSt0

Both the tribute video and Guide Dogs video end with the exact same shot. I guess I wanted it to seem as if Bruno was still watching over me like a Guardian Angel.

RIP Bruno - my wee heartbeat.

Shortly after Bruno had passed away, I turned to the Lightning-Strike Pet Loss Support Forum for advice, and was utterly overwhelmed with the warmth and understanding from the forum members. Thank you all so much.

Hi Guys

I can't remember the last time I really cried...probably when my mum died back in 2000. My dog Bruno got ill last November 25 2010 and my dad and I tried everything possible to get him better. We saw lots of vets and made Bruno as comfortable as possible.

I must admit that while Bruno was ill it caused me to sink into a deep depression which obliterated any happiness over the Christmas and New Year period.

I now feel the 'black cloud' I've been suffering is at last drifting way from my mind. Today's the first day I haven't full-on cried (I certainly have had tears in my eyes on several occasions when I get a happy flashback of Bruno) so I'm hoping that my no longer crying is a sign that I will now be able to bounce back from my sadness and get on with my life again?

I made this video tribute for Bruno if you would like to see it. From approx 3 mins in there is some nice HD footage I took of Bruno and my dad on a beach one Christmas Day a few years ago.

Take care

Peter

Hi Guys

Here is a special video tribute I made that is devoted to my beloved wee pet dog Bruno who passed away on 5 January 2011 here in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He was 16 and a brilliant wee dog with beautiful brown eyes and a lovely jet-black coat.

The video begins with a montage of cellphone video-clips and pics from over the years. However, from 3 mins 14 secs into the video it becomes a short film about Bruno which I filmed on a professional HD video camera. It features my dad with Bruno on a beach in Northern Ireland known as Helen's Bay.

Editing it was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do. My heart is still broken, but when editing it I was regularly in tears.

For all you other pet owners who are grieving over the loss of a pet, I feel your pain and hope that time will heal your sorrow quickly so you can move on.

I hope you like it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Take care

Peter
