I thought this thread might be fun. Tell about yourself..whatever you feel comfortable posting on the web.
I am 29..11 years in a row now...no need for a calculator..lol. I am an Air Traffic Controller, my husband is as well but we are at different airports about 70 miles apart. I've been doing this job for 11 years now..only 9 1/2 until retirement! I've been married for 14 1/2 years and we met in college..hubbies name is Doug. We have no children of the human kind. We tried but I couldn't carry, I think that's one reason we are so close to our animals..they are my life. We love to be outdoors...camping, boating, fishing, bow hunting, snow skiing. I also like to tie flies, bowl, read, play piano (which I am not good at). We have a weekend house that we go to on our days off...we are lucky we have basically the same schedule..it is near a lake..in the summer thats where we are as much as possible. I am from Pittsburgh, PA..we moved to MI about 12 years ago. All my family is in PA and NC...so just me and the hubby up here. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. If you go to my profile there is a pic of me and Doug..It's nice to put a face with the name. Anyhow I'd love to hear about you...and see a pic too if you've got one! -------------------- ****Sonya****

Madi...your Mum sounds like a real hoot! My grandfather got a moped when he was about 80 so he could go get milk and such from the convenience store down the road..he looked so funny with his baseball hat backward on his head, grinning ear to ear on that moped. We worried about him constantly riding that thing.
QUOTE I did feel though that our angel dogs were running along at our side, free from all the ailments of old age, and darling Tasha free from the Diabetes that robbed her of her sight. Jan...they were absolutely there, I'm sure of it. I did get a new used car yesterday, it is a 2009 but still used, 20,000 miles. It's a Chevy HHR, not sure if you all ever seen those in your countries. Its kinda like a mini SUV cross stationwagon...it kinda looks like a mini herse...lol. It has tons of rooms for the dogs, which was my main concern. I like it...I didn't really want a new car but when I sat in it...I was like..."ooh, this is nice"...afterall my car was 7 years old with 130,000 miles on it. Got it for a good price and it gets good gas milege, so I am pleased with the mini herse...it is white with black pinstripe and tinted windows. Watching one of my favorite shows right now...Two and a half men....that reminds me, I never told you about my music/tv likes: I don't really watch much tv but my favorite show is Deadliest Catch, mythbusters, cash cab...basically anything on the Discovery, history, science channel. Lighter watching...two and a half men and american idol. Music I listen to just about anything, but country and classic rock is my favorite. I will even listen to a little rap/hip-hop as long as it's not that violent stuff...I like the dance stuff. Some of my fav movies are: Crash, Way of the gun, three kings, suicide kings, bad santa, 40yr old virgin...I like more of the action/suspense type or comedy, not much into love stories...same with books...I like David Baldacci, Jodi Picoult, Dean Koontz. I hope today is finding you all happy and in peace. Hugs, Brutus' Mom -------------------- ****Sonya****
