........unless you've got a really GOOD vet who will tell you the TRUTH! Luckily for me, I learned all of these (and more) along the way and ahead of time (except for the early years of yearly vaccinations, which I also stopped completely as soon as I knew better), so my kids never had to suffer from any of these harsh realities.
