I'm absolutely devastated. My joyous, loving, beautiful kitten Jasper is dying of FIP. I've only had him 3 months, he's only 7 months old. After years of long-lived cats, I've lost several in the past few years, and it's too much, too much. More soon. Right now I'm reeling in shock and grief.

Hi, Jasper's Mom, please permit me to offer you my sincerest sympathies in the FIP diagnosis of your precious Jasper. What a handsome boy he is!! It doesn't matter how long we have with our precious companions - - our earthly journey is never long enough with them. But it is especially hard to accept this when their earthly journey is so very brief - - when they should be looking forward to a long and happy earthly journey only to have it so severely shortened by illness. I know you and your precious Jasper are embracing every moment you have together - - cherishing every memory.

Please know we are here for you, Jasper's Mom, to share this journey with you and your precious Jasper. Please know you and your precious Jasper are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how you both are doing.

Peace and blessings,

I'm moving this conversation over to the "Sick" thread -- I am holding space for Jasper's recovery. Just because western medicine doesn't have tools to help doesn't mean that there aren't solutions out there. Web research shows that some cats survive through homeopathy. Consulted with homeopathic vet and he's now on colloidal silver and ten supplements. He's engaged, interested in food, me, and the other cats, and isn't thinking about dying, so neither am I. My job is to hold open the space to recover, give him the tools, and invite him to stay. Please, when you consider him, think of him as healthy and robust. In the quantum field, what is visualized is possible.

Hi, Jasper's Mom, thank you so much for sharing with us how you and your precious Jasper are doing. I totally agree with you - - there are times when conventional medicine is not "tuned in" to the needs of the physical body. I am so glad you have found a homeopath veterinary practitioner who is being able to provide care for your precious Jasper - - and that - - for now - - he is responding to the supplements. Keeping a "positive attitude" is a vital part of all living creatures' health needs. Please know you and your precious Jasper are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how he's doing.

Peace and blessings,

Jasper died in my arms today. I am exhausted and numb. So very, very sad.

Hi, Jasper's Mom, please permit me to offer you my sincerest sympathies in the physical loss of your beloved Jasper. I am truly so very, very sorry that your beloved Jasper has now joined the angels. It is a blessing, though, that he was able to transition from his earthly journey wrapped in the love of your arms to carry him to his heavenly home. I do know how broken your heart is feeling, Jasper's Mom. You did everything in your power to try to give him a happy and healthy earthly journey, as well as to keep him happy and comfortable during his illness.

It doesn't matter if the grief journey facing us is our first or fiftieth - - each loss is uniquely painful because each relationship we have with each of our precious companions is uniquely special. The good news in the midst of your deep sorrow is that the love bond you and your Jasper share is eternal - - it is not restricted to the physical laws of time and space. Your beloved Jasper continues to share your earthly journey as he always has and always will. He is always and forever a part of your heart and memories - - he is always and forever a heartbeat close to you.

Please know each of us are here for you, Jasper's Mom, as you grieve for your beloved Jasper, for as long and as often as you need us. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and look forward to knowing how you're doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Jasper was adopted Sept. 22, he was with us only 98 days. He was chosen (of course he did the choosing) with clarity and intuition as a companion for dear Rohan, who had lost his body-buddy Willow (the gray one in my avatar) in May. Now he's lost his new buddy. Both he and Luna sat close by as Jasper died, and Luna sat quietly nearby as I buried him.

They each caught the brief headcold that was the start of Jas' FIP, and Rohan had just gotten over laryngitis
(click here for 28 sec video of him with laryngitis, kinda funny) , so I'm concerned he's at risk. Doc says 90% chance their immune systems will fight it effectively without developing into full-blown FIP. I'm giving them a homeopathic nosode to help prevent it.

Hi, Jasper's Mom, my heart goes out to your precious Luna and Rohan as well as you in the physical loss of your beloved Jasper. I can relate to their loving vigil as their brother transitioned home to the angels, and while you laid Jasper's physical body to rest. My precious Noah is the sole survivor in a home that once enjoyed the physical presence of four precious companions - - including Noah. Within the first 6 years of his life he has grieved the physical loss of his three housemates, so I understand what your precious Rohan and Luna are going through. Watching my precious Noah grieve broke my heart as badly as enduring my own deep sorrow, so I can just imagine how much your heart is aching watching your precious Rohan and Luna grieving for Jasper.

I am keeping your precious Luna and Rohan in my thoughts and prayers that they will be restored to full health and strength in their recovery from their Upper Respiratory Inffections.

Jasper's Mom, thank you so much for sharing your beloved Jasper with us. Please know you and your precious Luna and Rohan are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how each of you are doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam
