First of all i would like to say hello to everyone{im new} and am very happy for finding this site a few days ago.
This is a tribute to my friend and companion buddy{sir}
The story begins in the spring of 91 when out mowing the yard a happy go lucky brittany spaniel pup sauntered into my yard to greet me and say hello,this happened more then once.The last time this occured i went and asked the neighbor whos dogs this was etc.He replied he lived down on the corner and was abused and generally not taken care of,he also added if i took the dog in his owners at the time probably woulnt even care. I immediately opened my gate and let him in and got him introduced to my other kids.
This was the beginning of a beautiful 14 year relationship.
Sadly i had to have sir put to sleep on 12-28-05 due to declining health and old age.......i went into the vets room and stayed with him until he breathed his last breath.......it was the least i could do after all he had done for me over the years.
Sir....i love you and i miss you and i will remember you for until the day that i die. Buddy knew that i was/am ill{i was diagnosed with a terminal illnes in 95} and he added years to my life......i gave this dog 100% and you turned around and gave something that was priceless and way beyond that..........
Your friendship and companionship will never be forgotten......i still think of you everday.............I love you and miss you noble sir and one day will be at your side again.

I'm so glad you found this site and posted such a lovely memory and tribute. What a special friend you found. Your buddy is always with you. I am sorry to hear of your illness and wish nothing but the best. The love of our fur friends changes our lives in so many ways. You opened your home and heart to him and like you said what he gave you back is "priceless". Ann

You have written a beautiful tribute. I am so glad you and Sir found each other and had 14 wonderful years together.

If you happen to have a photo of your boy...we would love to see it. He sounds like such a special friend.

I am sorry his time had come but I know you and he treasured all the years together that mean so very much.

Of course, he will always be a part of you because of those memories ....he was a part of your everyday life and always will be, even though now, it is his spirit that lives on in your heart, and he has become your very special Angel....looking over you now and forever.

I am so glad that you and Sir had 14 wonderful years together. The bond that a dog and their adopted family has can be one of the strongest bonds on Earth. Bless you for saving Sir from a life of cruelty and showing him what love truly is. Thank you for sharing your story. If you wish to share more, including photos, I know we would all love to know more about Sir's life with you.

Take care,
Ken Albin
