My Maggie has been gone for almost a month now and the pain in my heart is still there. The tears still flow daily although not as constant.

I have been waiting for a sign from Maggie that she is OK.

2 nights after she died,my husband and I saw a few small pieces of white fur kind of blow lightly around us and I did notice it but we were so lost in grief that neither of us looked for the fur to see where it landed.

I just NEED to know she's ok.

I was also wondering if anyone has had a sign from their beloved pet/pets?

Jennifer, my deepst condolences on the loss of your precious Maggie. Yes, I have had many what could be considered "signs" from Sir Thomas since he passed 12/08/2010. I've heard the blinds to the sliding doors move with the door closed, no fans on and both other cats accounted for. I also have heard scraping in the litter box only to look up and see both Theresa and Tang in the room at the time. They have also both been intent on something I could not see or hear by the furnace closet (Tom's favorite place) So, yes I think what you saw was a sign, and you will see or hear more if you open your heart it. The signs are there, I think, to remind us that even though they are no longer with us physically, they will always be with us in spirit in our hearts. Peace and blessings.

Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Tom's Dad,thank you for replying.

It sounds like you have definetely had some signs that Tom is still with you. That must be so comforting for you.

I would love to have something tangible to know Maggie is ok.I guess it's especially important because my husband and I had to make the dreadful decision to have her euthanized. That eats away at me constantly.I just HOPE she knows that we did it for her because if I had my way,I would have kept her here and done ANYTHING to try to make her well(even though down very deep in heat I know I could not have saved my little girl).

Take care

Jennifer -

I feel your grief. My guilt was in NOT releasing Tom with dignity. I was in denial. From my previous posts, you can get the whole story. Bottom line, I came home from work one evening to find him on the bathroom floor. I was consumed with grief, dispair, and guilt becaue I did not have the money to try everything possible. Your signs WILL come. You just have to open your heart and clear your mind of the guilt - even for just a moment. That's when I started getting my signs. Take care.

Jennifer, I lost my Danny boy (a cat) over three months ago. I haven't gotten a 'sign' from him, but then again I'm not looking for one either. I am convinced that he is safe in heaven and that I will see him again one day when it's my time to leave this earthly world. I believe that animals do have souls and that they go to heaven when they die. God did not create anything temporal. Rest assured, your little Maggie is safe in the company of the angels.

I think I found myself looking for a sign after I lost Chewy as I love him so deeply I wanted the miracle sign that would tell me something was meant ot be sent by him. I think I forced myself into finding our new cat Ellie on a cat sanctuary website as she looked so like Chewy but I do believe that I eventually had a sign that we were meant to have her when I got there and they filled out the form putting her birth date as exactly the same day as mine which just happened to be 2 days after we picked her up too.

Its so hard faith when it comes our own babies, sometimes faith is all we have to hold onto. Your maggie says,"mama, can you feel me holding you so so close and especially close when you cry I wrap my arms around you even tighter"
