So Sorry no-one was there to chat, Greenbeagle. I'll keep checking the 'room'. With you doing shifts you might just check in when I'm there (UK time usually 6-7 am and 10-11 pm). I usually check in at those times and occasionally throughout the day. Hope to catch you there soon.
It's good that the chat room topic is back at the top of the board, don't forget to try it,as it can be a great help.

I will from now on. I stayed on there for a while last night, but no one showed up. I would be on there like at 2,3, or 4 in the morning - my time (Florida), so I imagine there are all kinds of time differences....

the chat room is set up for use on an as-needed basis and the times/days are set by those who want to use it. this site's forum board is where most people congregate.

there is a more lively chat room at petloss.com, i suggest you try there instead.

Oh dear I am so sorry that there was no-one to chat to saxton 49. This Forum is wonderful, it has helped so many, including me. The time zones are a big problem for us here in the Uk, especially when using the chat room, but please know that if you post in the forum, you will surely get support and comfort from the most wonderful, caring people I have ever had the priviledge to meet.

erm how do you even get into the chatroom? where is the link for it on the site??

Why do I need a signature. What is that for anyway? Isn't a personal statement, an avatar, a profile, a picture more than enough please? :P

the chat room here isn't used much, it takes members to set up a time when people can meet to chat. timezones are usually the issue. www.petloss.com has a group chat on monday nights, visit the page and scroll about 3/4 the way down to read about it.

to access the chat room, go to the website main page (www.lightning-strike.com) and click the "chat" link found in the grey globe to the left. if you are logged into the forum, all you need to do is enter a username, click 'login' and you are in the room. it's fairly simple once you are in.

hi puppymom,

the chat room isn't used as much as it could be, some members have tried to set up times in the past to meet... but the time differences got in the way.

you can go to the chat room here: http://lightning-strike.com/chat/flashchat.php

all you need to do is enter a username, passwords are not required. perhaps someone else would be interested and you can arrange a time. sorry i can't be of any more help here.

Not someone we know, folks. Someone who came in as a newcomer. Just made me aware of the responsibility that we have to have a lot of integrity when thinking and talking fast to someone who has serious issues...

Anyone around? I'm in chat right now...

Hi 'Hoffcoach',

Sorry to hear about your precious Emily sad.gif Perhaps you could start your own topic telling us more about her? If you wish to access the chat, you have to go to the main Lightening Strike website page and access it from there (or click on the link above posted by the LS Support admin). I'm not sure if many people use it though. I think you'd be better off, and get more support, if you use this forum.

Take care,
Cheryl

The chat room is really easy to use and it would be an instant way for people to get help and support. I have checked in many times, even when I know that it's daylight hours or evening in the US, but I am always the only one there. I have chatted with 'Madi' (who is in Australia), who also found 'chat' easy. It's a shame that this wonderful facility is not used more often. Maybe I just keep missing the busy times, being in a different time zone (UK) . If you haven't tried it , I suggest that you do so, if you see that 'friends' happen to be signed into the forum. Tonight (today for all in US) I think it could have helped many people who are worried about pets who are very sick. Sometimes when you are distraught it's hard to compose a full 'post' so instant chat could be very beneficial. Please keep posting though, I don't for one second think that 'chat' should replace the forum postings, but used alongside the forums for instant help, advice and companionship.

I can't seem to find the chat on here. I would love to be able to chat with someone... I am going through some really tough times... Today is exactly 2 weeks since my baby boy is gone... I can't imagine how I survived that long without him... The whole two weeks without touching, kissing, feeding, walking, bathing and playing with my sweet little baby.
Gizy, mommy misses you sweetie! Please come to me in my dreams, I want to make sure everything is ok and you like it up there in Heaven.

Love and miss you with all my heart my little pumpkin!

P.S. I still talk to him, wish him "night night" and "good morning" every day...

Is the chat room no longer? I was searching for it and clicked on the link from several posts back, but it comes up as a non-existant page? I'd love to be able to go into a chat room in hopes of talking to someone live.....let me know....thanks.
