It is nearly four years since my dog Bailey died, and I still miss him very much. After he died, the grief was intense and long-lasting, and friends gave me much support with their kind words and deeds. A note of understanding from a friend’s relative whom I never met arrived, as well as a picture frame with the Rainbow Bridge poem from a neighbor. Such kindnesses were very touching.
The loss of this amazing dog led me to write a gift book, “A Dog to Remember,” which is designed to give to a friend whose dog has died to show them you understand and acknowledge their loss. The book was written with the hope that it will help others through the grieving process. It is available on Amazon.com, and the author’s website at www.adogtoremember.com.
