I am beginning to hate the month of April. On the 29th of April two years ago, I had to let my precious Bitsy go. Last year on the 29th, a tornado ripped up my community. This April, I lost my little Jack Russell, Fancy, just two years shy of getting her. I think she was stolen, but can't prove it. I also lost my father in April 18 years ago. April has become a month of remembered and present loss for me!

Dear Dusty Moonrise, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Bitsy 2 years ago and now having to contend with the loss of your Fancy as well. It's so much more difficult when anniversaries fall in the same time frame and you clearly still miss your Dad very much. The last thing you need is more pain to add to a difficult time of the year. I can feel your pain and I wish there were something I could do to help. Is it possible that Fancy got out of the yard and wandered off? If so, she may be hiding or maybe a kind neighbor took her in? I know that putting up posters and asking for help on Craigslist often have happy results - but you've probably already tried those approaches. I will keep you in my prayers and I hope that you are somehow able to find your sweet Fancy. Please know that you are not alone and let us know how you're doing, when you have time and feel up to it. Please take care of yourself. Peggy (the human) |

I can only hope that Fancy was lost or stolen, rather than the alternative. I am not giving up on Fancy, but in just a little over six weeks, I am taking in a Jack Russell Terrier Rat Terrier mix puppy that I am going to name "Peanut" because that is what one of the local utility suppliers always called Fancy. I am NOT trying to replace her, and I will spend the rest of my life looking for her! Andy

Hi, Andy, please permit me to offer you my sincerest sympathies in all of your losses. I do understand how you feel about April. I truly hope and pray you will find your precious Fancy, and that she will be well and healthy when you are reunited.
Andy, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how you're doing whenever possible. Peace and blessings, moon_beam -------------------- In heaven's perfect garden there is no grief or pain, and all of God's creation join the angels' sweet refrain.
The most blessed way I have of knowing God's comforting love and grace is to look into the eyes and heart of God's creatures' sweet angelic face. |
