...a morning kiss, a descreet touch of
her nose landing somewhere on the middle of my face. Because her long whiskers tickled, I began everyday laughing. Janet F. Faure

It's hard to believe that 5 weeks ago, at exactly this time, Hobbie was still hanging on. She was barely hanging on, but she was still with me...waiting for me to say, "Hobbie, it's okay, you can go." She was such a kind little spirit...all weekend long I had begged her not to leave me, and when I finally said "Hobbie, I wish I could call a vet now to set you free," she breathed her last breaths. You know, I feel that I gave Shiloh a gift by freeing her from the pain and torment of her cancer, but Hobbie, the sweet, little, pumpkin angel she was, she gave me a gift by not making me be the one to make that decision. Such a lady...she waited for me to let her go, and she left.
I miss her little meows, I miss how I used to not be able to leave my desk drawer open because if I did, anything in it was fair game for Hobbie to steal. I miss how she used to awkwardly jump up on the counter, I miss how she'd break out in to a purr the minute I picked her up, I miss how all I had to do was sit at my desk and she'd be in my lap. I miss my little orange swirlie-Q kitty. To my Hobbie... I miss you, my little one, but I feel you close by. Sometimes at night I swear I feel you lay up against my back just like you used to. I love you, Hobbie Hobsen, I love you best of all. There will never be another pumpkin angel...I'm just so thankful I was blessed with your presence for almost 9 years.

Kathleen,
Your Hobbie was a beauty, and I'm sorry you have the pain of missing her so much. Shiloh was a sweety as well It amazes me how much they affect our lives from the moment we bring them home, and it kills me how much we miss them when they leave us, and I don't think we ever stop missing them. I pray for your peace and send you my loving thoughts. Michelle -------------------- Our beloved Cosmo came to us in June 1995, and died on May 24, 2005.
Our beloved Beaner came to us in April 1992, and died on June 18, 2006. Our beloved Creep came to us in October 1997, and died on May 22, 2004. All our babies are loved and sorely missed. |

Kathleen,
Hobbie was really beautiful. She had a loving household and was very lucky for that. It seems unfair sometimes that they only visit with us awhile and then have to leave us. Thank you for sharing Hobbie with us. -------------------- Daddy Cat left this world at the age of 17. His tribute page is at Daddy Cat's Tribute Page |

Hi Kathleen,
What a beautiful tribute to your sweet little girl, Hobbie. I love that pic with her pink tongue sticking out. I'm glad you feel Hobbie's presence. I have no doubt that her spirt is there with you and always will be. She will always be your pumpkin angel. Love, Lynn -------------------- Rusty, I will always love you and never forget you. Thank you for more than 7 wonderful years.

Kathleen, that is such a beautiful poem ...
The pictures of your Hobbie show what a beautiful and gentle little soul she is. Her sweetness comes through so much in her photos. The tickling whiskers ... I can so relate ... Ellie had long curling whiskers just like Hobbie. In the mornings when she would kiss me on the nose to wake me, her whiskers would curl even further forward and tickle my cheeks as she licked my nose. She was the first cat I ever had whose whiskers curled down and forward like Hobbies. Most of my other cats had straight whiskers which went straight backwards. Thankyou for posting the poem ... it evokes a beautiful picture of love. with love jilly -------------------- ELLIE, my beautiful precious baby. 1st Sept 2003 - 3rd Dec 2004.
Rest peacefully my little sweetheart. |

Dear Kathleen:
Sweet darling Hobbie , she was so very precious and her coloring was so beautiful!! I can remember the 5 week mark, and how extremely difficult it was..... QUOTE I miss my little orange swirlie-Q kitty. I can really "feel" just how much you miss your dear Hobbie, Kathleen.... No amount of time spent with our babies is ever long enough, is it?? QUOTE Sometimes at night I swear I feel you lay up against my back just like you used to. Though we cannot see our beloved furbabies....I know that they are always with us... Hobbie is right there at night with you, snuggled up against your back, just like she always did. And, I know that Shiloh is always very, very close by you as well... Thank you for sharing that lovely poem..... You are in my thoughts and prayers.... God Bless! Love, Denise xo -------------------- Our Beloved Girl, Ernestine (AKA) "Ernie-Bird"

Dear Patti, Michelle, Ken, Lynn, Marcia, Jilly, and Denise-
Thanks for taking time to look through Hobbie's tribute. I still can't believe I have 2 furbabies in the memorials and tributes section. Love, Kathleen -------------------- Shiloh and Hobbie, you're both gone from my arms, but forever in my heart.

Kathleen,
What beautiful babies your Hobbie and Shiloh truly are. They teach us that it truly is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. May God bless you. Steve -------------------- You left paw prints on our hearts.

Nothing can erase the pain
Of loosing one so sweet; A kitty's love held to our hearts, Until again we meet. Think of all the good times You shared when she was here; And like a tiny shadow, You will feel her presence near. When the nights get lonely Because she's not around; Just hold her memory tightly, Her spirit you have found. As the days pass and time goes on Without the friend you loved so dear; You know she loved you till the end, You took away her fear. Hold this memory to your heart That none can take away. It will give you reassurance, Through the passing of each day. You know although her body Is not around to see; Her spirit does reside in you, You're love has set her free. Toni Britton Hobbie, Today is your 2 month anniversary. It's been 2 months since I've held you and smelled your sweet little kitty scent. Two months since I've heard your purr. I miss you my sweet girl...I miss not feeling you at the foot of the bed...licking and nimbling on my toes until I fell asleep...you were always such a comfort to me.

What a beautiful kitty Hobbie is.... it's so easy to see how you first fell in love with her.
Kathleen, your loss of both Hobbie and Shiloh has made me so sad. You lost 2 babies in such a short amount of time...yet you're always able to give love and support to others. You are truly an awesome person. I am thinking of you and your babies. Please know that you're in my thoughts and prayers! Love, Dana |
