To anyone,
Trying to figure out how much time I lost with my kitty. How long have your cats lived with abdominal masses? What led to your cats diagnoses? Who had the exploratory surgery/ did it save your cats life? I would love to hear about anyone's experience with this diagnoses. I saw two different vets during my cats short experience with abdominal masses. The first vet was hopeful. He suggested exploratory surgery, taking out as much of the Cancer they can and finish with Chemo. He said my Cat could live 1-15 months depending on how long it took for it to grow back. The second vet said abdominal masses are almost always a terminal diagnoses(especially in a 12 year old cat). She said abdominal masses are infiltrative. She claimed so much would have to be altered in the cats abdomen, that the outcome for survival was very dim? Help?
