Today marks Alex's three year Angelversary so he wanted to do something very special. Something not only thrilling to him, but hopefully to everybody. One of many songs and performances he loved so much is the The 1812 Overture by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Alex especially enjoyed listening to this symphony in time to awesome fireworks displays. I ain't kidding. That is a fact and Word Up! So, he got his finest, most famous London Quaker Orchestra to perform this magnificent music and had them use all their incredible skills putting each note in time to an amazing fireworks display. Those birdies practiced day and night, but so worth it! Oh, don't mind Quincy Qadir Qaiser Qabil Qaletaqa Qatada Smith Quaker. He always carries his violin, bow and sheet music on his head pretty much everywhere he goes. We try not to tease him about that. And, not about his 'unusual' name either. He really doesn't mind though. Alex had a difficult time deciding which baton to use while conducting the orchestra for this event. He has so many designs of batons! Fairies, stars, butterflies, teddy bears and even bird batons. He finally chose his butterfly baton since the butterflies are very similar in color to his brilliant blue flight feathers. Be sure to watch the entire video because the end has a Spectacular finale! -------------------- "Friends Are Angels Who Lift us to Our Feet When Our Wings Have Trouble Remembering How To Fly." "If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men." ~ St. Francis of Assisi ~ "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." ~ Mahatma Gandhi ~ "We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals." ~ Immanual Kant ~ "The love of all creatures is the noblest attribute of man." ~ Charles Darwin ~ Alex - May 1st 1993 to October 16th 2007 - Having had a Life Span Expectancy of 35 to 45 Years. We Shall Be Reunited That One Sweet Day! |
