I've been following this story on the local news, and want to bring it here to get your collective vibrational support. Mugsy is a tortoiseshell kitty in a motorhome crash 14 days ago, up in Snoqualmie Pass in western WA. The motorhome split open, one cat was injured, and Mugsy fled. Her papa died, her mama survived, and her kitty sibling recovered. The family is desperate to bring Mugsy home. I bring this here for three reasons:

1. A Missing Pet blogger is following her case, so you can follow along and lend your emotional support and clarity to Mugsy that it's okay to enter the humane traps they've set for her.

2. The Missing Pet blog has other good information for anybody with a missing pet. Specifically, good information on lost pet behavior and search tactics.

3. The family enlisted help from the Missing Pet Partnership, and they're asking for donations to help fund Mugsy's rescue. Each trek to the summit involves gas and motel. If you so wish, contact them at donate@pethunters.com.

WA Animal Search And Rescue Team (WASART) put up cameras for a week, at several feeding stations, and caught her on film. So she's out there. At the blog, you can see her picture on Day 1, with the original TV story. On another day's post, you can see what the trap looks like. Please send your best, clearest thoughts to her about how safe and warm and wonderful life will be when she walks into the cage trap -- help her connect the trap and that feeling.

Click this link: Missing Pet Partnership Facebook page On the 9/10/10 entry you'll notice an option to donate to MPP at donate@pethunters.com

Let's see this one through as a successful rescue and reunion!!

Encouraging news! Mugsy has been using the trap for a shelter, and has been photographed sitting inside the trap, where they've been leaving food. They've closed one end of it so now she's adjusting to it being a cave, not a tunnel. The rain (and a full belly) kept her out of it for the last day or so, but the next step will be to arm the trap. They know they've only got one real shot at it, so they want to go slowly enough to make a secure, clean catch. I'll let you know when she's caught.

The trap is now set for live capture. Send her thoughts of walking in again to seek shelter and food.
