Hello everyone,
My heart is so heavy right now. Four days ago our cat Kita wandered off, and we haven't seen him since. He's about 12 years old, and was in good health. Well, he has diabetes, but the food we fed him kept his sugar in check. He was doing find when he wandered off. I know he's a good hunter and I'm sure he is capable of catching mice or whatever for food, I just don't know how that will affect his sugar levels. When his sugar levels are out of balance, he gets weak and just lays around.

Friday evening around 5 pm he was laying in the garage, and our other indoor/outdoor cat was nearby. I didn't think anything about it. We always put both of them up in the evening (they stay in our garage). However, Kita wandered off, and I didn't see which direction he went. He has not returned since.

We live in the country, just one main road nearby and one side road. I have been to all the neighbors and shown them a picture and left my number. I have searched the fields, the woods, called for him repeatedly, I even made an audio recording of myself calling for him, and put my stereo system outside and let it play loudly on repeat during the middle of the night, in the hopes that he would hear my voice and find his way home.

I don't even know how I stumbled upon this message board, or what I hope to accomplish with this post, other than to perhaps write what's in my heart. I love this cat so much, he is like a child to me. One bad thing is that he does not meow - he never has. He will open his mouth to meow, but nothing ever comes out. I always thought this was cute, but in this situation it is not good, because even if I were close to him I would not hear him.

My heart fears the worst. At this point I don't know if he is even alive or not. He really likes to eat and always comes in during the day two or three times to eat some food. But he hasn't shown up, and it has broken my heart. I just can't stand the thought of him being out there, lost, or maybe injured, needing me to help, and I don't know how to help him, or where to go to find him.

I've thought of using an animal communicator (animal psychic) to try and locate him, though I can't even afford the fees for that right now. Has anyone ever used one of these before? There is a woman who is somewhat famous and claims to have successfully helped others find their pets when lost. Her name is Hilary Renaissance. Has anyone ever used her service before?

My fiancee has said we just have to leave him in God's hands at this point, one way or another. While I know there are no better hands for him to be in, I just want to know I've done all I could to find him.
