My Gidgie Girl, Gidget is very ill Options

Many thanks to all of you who sent prayers and thoughts for my sweet Gidgie. She was able to come home last night after holding her food down all day yesterday. I've started making meals for her and will continue to do so, at least until I know we have a handle on this.

I am so glad to hear she could come home. We went through this with Sam a few years ago. They kept her and tested and tested. It finally resolved with an antibiotic. But she never really blossomed till she got home in her own Queendom.

When I saw this picture I thought of Goliath ...with unseen arms wrapped about his ailing sister. Vigilantly keeping watch over her.

We were twice blessed on Sunday! Gidget came home and it was also the day our sweet Goliath was born. I'm sure he was watching over her just as all the other loving furangels did too. Many angels here on earth were with her as well. She HAD to improve with all the positive healing energy floating around.

A very welcome update Beth, keep up the good work and keep the positive waves flowing

The positive waves are coming from all directions Toonie. How could I possibly miss them when they are so strong and filled with love. I've always believed in the power of love and prayer. Gidget continues to improve a little bit more as each day comes along. She's even had a few bouts of play with Browser.

Furkidlet's Mom gave me such a great wealth of information to get started with. I've been busy educating myself with her expertise lead. She had to have spent much of her freetime in putting together information for me. It truly was an unselfish gesture on her part considering her own feelings right now as she remembers her sweet Sabin and Nissa.

Thanks Toonie for your ongoing support and love. What would I ever do without wonderful friends like you?

Besides, once you start all that copious reading I'd suggested, you might well be cursing the day I opened my big flap, instead! But I'm SO happy to hear there's still been more improvement with your little Gidgie-girl. That's just music to my ears! (and yes, wasn't that a TOO-sweet pic from Dayna?! Talk about an "aaaawwwww!!!")

There's no place like home, that's for sure! Gidget reigns on as the queen of our household, just as she always has been. She proved it to me alst night when I startled her while we were all asleep......SHE BIT ME! Yup, she's back to being the cranky old lady per usual after dark.

YOU are the one that is too kind Furkidlet's Mom! I may be the one flapping in YOUR ear alot once I really get into all this new stuff. It is a welcome challenge for me to undertake. Since it doen't take me an hour to eat lunch at work, I can use the majority of it to study, journal, and wirte down recipes etc.

Yes that pic Dayna posted was sweet as ever. Of course I might be JUST a little addicted to the chihuahua breed. Keep sending those positive vibes because I am feeling VERY upbeat! I have a hunch where some of it is coming from.

Gidget's vet suggested we try to add about a dozen dry Innova nuggets to her home cooked meal last night. So, we did. Somehow Gidget managed to work her way around each mouthful and carefully spit each nugget into one neat little pile. My hubby and I were rolling with laughter. Browser came behind her and cleaned up what she left. Five days of homecooked food and she's hooked!

We used to have to give Pepper the Yorkie a pill a day. The Vet suggested burying it in a ball of cream cheese, something he was crazy about.

There would not be one crumb or smear of the cheese left in the dish.

Sitting all alone in the middle of the clean dish would be the pill.

And they do this with no fingers or thumbs just (haha) Dogged determination.
