I would love to post a photo of my dog. I tried posting it but the file is too big. What can I do, so that I can post it?

hi, you can make the photo smaller. that usually works. or you can use one of the free
graphic compressors on the net that will automatically do it. if either do not work,
feel free to send it to me and i can work some magic with it.

Hi MD!!!

I hope that this note finds you doing well! How are you??? I just started using this Dell
when we received it on 12/31/2003....that's after not having used a computer since 1993!!!
Things have certainly changed....... huh.gif blink.gif

I feel very gulty because I only have photos of my Ernie....nothing digital to use as my Avatar...

But, our two new furkids, Lucy & Yo-Yo (?Ma.... happy.gif ), I took pictures of them with the disposable
Kodak plus digital (throwaway)....excellent quality, but I'm looking into purchasing a "real digital camera", because
I don't want to spend $10 - $14 for each throwaway & then $11.00 for developing.... Just want to
find a good price...

Anyway, I'd like to put their photos under my name "Muffins".... (until such time that I can figure out
how to put Ernestine's picture on here)......

Do you think you could help me at all? Their photos are in the computer, but they're huge, even cropped..
I'm not sure what I'm doing....

Please, at your convenience, would you let me know??

Thank you so much!!
Denise

hi denise,

just so i understand, you want to put a picture of the kids under your name
as an 'avatar?' if the picture is way huge, shrinking it to 128x128 pixels may
not be the greatest quality when done.

can you let me know how large in file size the pic is? and what format it is
in currently (jpg, gif, etc.) if manageable, you can send it to me via email and
i will give it a run and see what can be done.

md

p.s. digital cameras are a steal right now, i have a good one but am almost tempted to
upgrade anyways. technology is moving quick on those.
