Here she is ...she's helping me with the hurt and emptiness. My husband made the "phone call" to inquire about getting a new baby and once the lady called us back and said she had them, all we had to do is pick a day and time to pick out a new baby. She has been so loving and cuddlely at the same time, she's been some what pitiful. I had to take her to the vet this morning, the night I brought her home, I discovered she had "kennel cough". Her doctor confirmed is was kennel cough in addition to having an upper respitory infection. He prescribed her an antibiotic so hopefully, we're on our way to happy, healthy little westie.
I have had some mixed emotions with getting her (being the same breed, and my son wanted to name her "Chloe" but on the first day I had called her Zoe three times, so I had to call for a family meeting for a mutual name change (chloe was much to close to zoe). So we decided we all could agree on Sasha and I am very happy about it. More happy to have the physical love aroung. A few have mentioned "she's already spoiled". I can't help it. I am loving Sasha through Zoe. Zoe taught me well. I will forever carry my broken heart with Zoe not being here, I will continue to talk to Zoe and let her know I love and miss her daily, as well as, advice on helping me with Sasha. ha
I know I'm rambling on, this is a new phase in my healing.
I will keep in touch.
Here's a pic of my new baby.
Much love to you all ~
Deanna
OMG Deanna....she is sooooooooooo adorable! Congratulations.
It is wonderful to be able to hug a furbaby again. How old is she? Whatever name you call her, she is perfect.
And, I know you said Chloe was close to Zoe so you called her Zoe. Well, Lucky is not close to Little Guy but I have called him that at times anyway..without thinking. Probably when the names are similar..it can happen more often. But nevertheless....I find it happens anyway and I have read others here say the same thing..so don't think about it.
I am so glad you got Sasha. I know you are too. It doesn't take away the hurt we have at our loss but I find it does lessen it.
Playing with such an adorable baby..how can one not laugh and smile.
I look forward to more pictures (she is soooo cute!) and stories of her growing up with you in your home.
Zoe would be the first one to welcome such a baby and I know as an Angel...her tail is..right now... wagging her! I know she is happy to see this sweet one have a home and make her "mom" feel much better everyday.
Hugs to all of you....this is just so very very wonderful!

It is a wonderful start to healing. Of course we will never stop loving and missing our Special Ones.
She looks like one of those fluffy cotton balls! Adorable!
Deanna,
Congratulations. She is truly a doll. I'm so happy for you. May you have many, many happy years together.

Hi Deanna--------Wow!!!!!!! I would have to say that Sasha put the 'C' in cute! God bless little Zoe.And Zoe is in the next dimension a couple of inches away anyway. We just can't access it .........YET!..........
If one cannot spoil their furbaby then what's the point?------Tell the detractors to take a hike!!!!!!!!
Peace and Light----------Bubba...............
Oh Deanna!!!! Sasha is absolutely adorable. I am soooooooo happy for you and for her. I'm with Bubba on "she must have put the C in cute. Puppies have such a sweet way of bringing joy and laughter into our homes and hearts. Who can resist? You had so much love left in you to give and Sasha is one lucky girl to have you for her Mommy.
Don't worry about slipping and calling her Zoe. That would have happened no matter what. My hubby and I still slip on occasion and call Browser Goliath. Browser doesn't even notice.........and if he does.........he sure doesn't mind at all. Zoe knows just how much you will always love her. There's no doubt in my mind that she's delighted with her new baby sister and the love and laughter she has brought you. Yes........Zoe's love lives on.
Tell us more about Sasha when you get the time. I know how busy you must be in keeping an eye on her. Puppies bear watching.....that's for sure. It's so funny to watch them. They are like wind up toys, running and playing hard. Next thing you know they are asleep and then get up and start all over again. Little energizers they are.
Hugs with love,
Beth
Oh My Gosh!!! Deanna, Sasha is just about the most adorable fur baby doggie in the world!!! I just want to reach in, pick her up, pet her, kiss her and smell her sweet puppy breath. Wow! You sure picked a winner and I'm sitting here saying, "Awww!" Saying it over and over and over again ...
Hi Deanna!
I came to see if there were any updates about Sasha. No doubt you have been VERY busy in getting to know her. These little ones sure bear watching don't they? You gotta have eyes in the back of your head!
You can be sure that next time I come to LS, I will look for news about your liitle furball of love.
Hugs to you and sweet smooches and belly rubs for Sasha,
Beth
I am truely happy for you. Congrats!. I too, wish you two many happy, healthy, wonderful years together. Don't forget to say a little prayer to Zoe to watch over her and be her angle as she is yours. Ann
