dunno, but we're adopting one tomorrow. (he's really a ginger tabby kitten, some nitwit at the local university dyed him purple. he will grow out of the color eventually. we may ask the vet to shave him down. the color in these photos are nothing compared to seeing him live). if you have a facebook account, you can read the story here

Bless that dear little innocent Kitty. Thank goodness he is going to people who will love him and care for him.
I just can't believe what some 'Humans' can do. I just hope they catch who did this to him.
Please keep us updated on him, and good luck with your new baby , hopefully with a few more washes the dye will come out or eventually fade.

Love

purple kitty is back!

he's starting to get more orange each day, well at least some. his official name is Marley (after musician Bob Marley), but the name hasn't quite 'stuck' yet since he doesn't react when you call him. we have a bunch of names...still trying to see which he likes.

since adoption, he has gained close to 2 pounds (we estimate) and tears around the house like a tornado carrying a milk ring in his mouth. a bit of conjunctivitis still in his eyes but we're using antibiotics daily to make it go away. enjoy the pix!

Hi Marc:

He's a very handsome & sweet looking guy!

I'm happy that he's been adopted by you and your family -- I know he'll be loved A LOT! And, a 2 pound gain thus far; that's great.

Wishing you and yours much love & happiness,

Denise

Thanks so much for posting. Marley is coming on so well , 2lbs is great and his ginger is re-appearing. We had the same problem with our rescued Pixie. She doesn't really respond to the name they gave her at the rescue centre, but we are sticking with it. Shame to change it again as that would then be 3 different names. Also I feel it was supposed to be as Anna(Smokey, lady, max) had predicted a contact with this name, 2 weeks before we even discovered Pixie. The rescue centre named her, not us. Angels working their miracles I believe.
