I should be happy for her, but I'm mostly sad for myself.
Kimba, my foster dog, has gone back to live with the doctor who saved her from the horrible situation of neglect that she was living in. He is going to try and make it work by hiring a dog-walker for her during his long hours. Kimba is thrilled. Steph is not. Falkor is neutral. It's sad because I really had started bonding with her. I'm doing some extra time at the office today and now I am missing TWO, Luba and Kimba. Granted, missing Kimba isn't nearly as intense. On the plus side, except for some minor problems (skin hot spots, minor ear infection), my Falkor is doing really well. Tomorrow is his 8th birthday! -------------------- "My heart has joined the thousand, for my friend stopped running today."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FALKOR. May you continue to have a long and happy life with your wonderful mom, Steph.
Sorry things didn't work out with Kimba, Steph. Some things just aren't meant to be. But you gave it your best effort and you can find comfort in knowing Kimba has a good home, even though it isn't yours. I know you'll miss her and I know you continue to miss Luba. Your Luba was such a beautiful dog---I just love the photo of her in your avatar. She looks like such a gentle, loving soul and I just know she had a sweet personality. __Jim -------------------- "Daddies Little Man"
