Hi everyone. I'm up at my mother's place in northern Ontario, and don't have computer access unless I bus in to the local library. This is why I haven't been around at LS much.
Just wanted to let you know that Falkor's tests are back. He's got hypothyroid and arthritis. I'm just glad that it's not cancer. He's on one medication already, and will be starting the other one next week. He is still missing Luba, but as I start to feel better he is responding favourably as well. Hope you are all ok. Hi Steph:
That's fantastic news.....both treatable conditions..... I'm thrilled it's not cancer either!! (Thank you God!!) I am happy to hear that you are starting to feel better, and as well, so is Falkor!!! It is difficult.......... I know that there are days when you feel okay......and then on other days, you take two steps back... It's okay......It's all a part of this journey..... Grieving is a very difficult and painful thing!! I'm happy to hear that you are visiting with your mom up in Northern Ontario... (I'm jealous!!) Is Falkor enjoying the water??? Take Care, Steph!! wow that is great news steph! what a relief--I am very happy for you! I too have one "remaining" pet and I am always quite jumpy about his health--he is the "older" one as your Falkor is--so I know just how you feel! Travel safely on your way back.

Hey all.
Denise, Falkor hasn't been in the water. The vet said to keep him dry because of his skin conditions. The skin should improve once his thyroid medication kicks in. Today I finally got up the nerve to visit Luba and my special spot on the beach. It was pretty sad. I had a neighbours dog along with me (Falkor can't make the distance due to his arthritis), and the neighbour's dog kept me from getting too blue. I wrote a little tribute to Luba in the sand. Falkor continues to improve. He even has a girlfriend up here now. A young black lab. They are so sweet together. -------------------- "My heart has joined the thousand, for my friend stopped running today."
