Unto us a son is born.

We lost Sweet Old Auntie Murphy, the Norwegian forest cat, last May. She was technically my wife's cat. I got her a consolation prize to help her cheer up, but she has been doing Cat interviews all along.
Yesterday she arranged to meet a breeder at a cat show, and drove (In her consolation prize) two states away to pick her new friend.

This cat is a first for my wife. Just as Iggy picked me, this guy ran out of the litter to my wife. When my wife went out to her car to get the Cat Carrier, he started crying.
In the past, my wife always had rescues and other Used Cats who showed up.
This one is CFA registered.
He had better grow into those ears. Great happy friendly disposition.
Sam, the old Siamese, is on a hunger strike and generally disgruntled. Iggy is being difficult and demanding, but no hissing yet.

INTRODUCING: Zacchary!

He is sixteen weeks old.

Welcome dear Zacchary, so pleased to meet you.

Oh Jon, he is so amazing and I'm sure he will steal everyones hearts. Please keep us posted and more pics when possible please. I'm so happy that he found your wife, and I wish you and your family all the best with your new fur baby.

Hugs

Jan and my Angel;s and Pixie xx

Last night he was finally At Large in the house. He is bold as brass, and energetic, and eager to meet Iggy.
He was running around so much, Iggy was finally saturated with him, and jumped on top of the refrigerator so he could be left alone, and was WHINING.
Sam is also a SealPoint Siamese, so Zacchary thinks Sam is a relative, and is puzzled by her sulky aloofness.
I have had to ply Iggy with extra walks and treats to show him he has not been made redundant.
The only bad part about having a New Hire is the usual reactions by the Established Cats. It has been wprse in the past, though..no flying fur or hissing yet.
But Zacchary is so outgoing and actually obnoxious, like an overfriendly drunk, that I hope they adjust before there is trouble. Iggy could swallow him in one bite.
Zacchary has a very loud purr. And voice, for that matter. Siamese are very vocal. We had one years ago who used to like going into the tile bathroom, and closed the door so she could admire her own echoes. She'd howl nonstop for fiteen minutes.

wub.gif welome sweet little Zacchary, beautiful little kitty of your wife !
when my Felix got to know my Jim he was a baby.
after a few months I was scared to death, would Jim kill Felix ????
(I was asking Ken Albin for help)
anyway, there were a lot of troubles and fighting and screaming,
but no blood flowing, no bones broken,no hair lost, just a lot of action.
2010 they were the best friends till Jim crossed the bridge,
I am so thankful
so, Jon,
everything will be fine
thanks for sharing the photos
best regards to Your wife
and what does mean the name Zacchary?
love, Your`s Eva with Mr.Felix
