this morning has been the worst by far! my older cat bud has been sleeping w/ me at night ever since we lost buttons because he is lonely. well as i woke up this morning he was sleeping right in my face like he usually does but he was awake b4 me and was just looking at me. well the way the sun was shining is my room it was shining right on his head. well i could have swore that he looked like buttons (i was still half asleep when i opened my eyes) so i closed my eyes again and opened them real fast to make sure i wasn't seeing things and then i realized that it was bud laying there. and the second i realized it my heart sank straight down to my feet! i feel like im crazy! because she had a certain meow that neither bud nor Delilah could make and i can be sitting on the computer or just doing something around the house and i can hear her meow for me.I miss my baby soo much. :[
here is a pic of my older cat bud.....
you can tell that he looks nothing like buttons but i still saw her face this morn when i woke up :[ -------------------- *BrItTaNy*

Is does make it hard on us tho. Hang in there. We heal one day at a time. Hugs to YOu!!!!!! |

He hears you and is with you. 1 day not too long ago, I totally broke down after kissing my Arthur's bundle of ashes. I swore I heard his meow behind me. It was sooo real that for a split second I forgot he was gone or why I was crying, I just turn around and said(without thinking) "what is it poops?*(my nick name for him). I realized my tone was almost like he disturbed me. You know, like what do you want, can't you see I'm busy crying?. My very first post came about because of a "sign" I got from him the day after I took his ashes home. It's in The Furry Love of My Life, I know he hears me, if you want to take a look, I got picts to prove it!. So keep your mind and heart open and you'll being seeing/hearing wonderful things from Buttons..And.. If you think your crazy, join the club 'cuz as you can see, there are many stories from others just like yours. The emptiness is really hard right now. We'll get thru this together.. Hugs .. Ann |

Hi, Brittany, I do believe our furkids can reach us from the Bridge through their sweet living Spirit that continues on within us and all those whose lives they have shared. This grief journey, particularly in the beginning, is very difficult because we are not only emotionally missing our beloved furkid but there is also the physical separation that is an equal part of the loss. Eventually you will come to see that your relationship with Buttons has only changed to a different dimension - - she is always with you wherever you go and whatever you do, and you will always be able to share with her what is in your heart and in your life as you always have. But for now the grief of not having her physically with you is overwhelming, and that is why we are here for you every step of the way in your grief journey for as long and as often as you need us. It's a one day at a time journey, Brittany, and please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Peace and blessings, moon_beam -------------------- In heaven's perfect garden there is no grief or pain, and all of God's creation join the angels' sweet refrain.
The most blessed way I have of knowing God's comforting love and grace is to look into the eyes and heart of God's creatures' sweet angelic face. |

Peace and blessings, moon_beam I know it my self vey well, they do come to us sometimes in different ways, I few days after my Beloved Son Buster died to cancer in his nose I was in my basement all alone there is no windows nor other pets and while typing on my key-board computer I heard a very destintive loud and clear dog's panting, there was my Buster letting me know he was ok and breathing well, he only did it three times but those were enough to let me know he was here with me, ofcourse I thanked him and cried like I never did before. Take care and hung in there, always here, Jorge |

I most deff know that my baby is with me now! We have four dogs in our house also and just yesterday our oldest piper was sitting in the kitchen floor staring at the top of the fridge (which is where buttons would sit and observe everything that was going on in the house) Then she started to wag her tail franticly and started barking at the top of the fridge. i havent seen her that happy since we lost buttons!

A wonderful story. These babies sense and see and hear so much more than we ever can.
Sounds like Buttons is right where she should be! Thanks for sharing. I see in another post you said: thank you guys soo much for letting me know im not alone!
