I have been thinking of posting these lyrics for a couple of weeks, but wasn't sure if this area of the forum was the right place.
For me, everytime I hear this song, it reminds me of the love I have for Cosmo, as well as the support I have received from all of you in here and the comfort that I have tried to give. I hope you will get the message from this song, as I do.

NOBODY'S HERO- by BON JOVI (Track 13, disc 4 of the box set "100,000,000 Bon Jovi fans can't be wrong")

When you're afraid, when it feels like you're too tired to fight
Even your heart don't know if you're still alive
Man, you've never felt so all alone
In this world, tonight

And I, don't you know that I've felt the same?
I've seen the storm, I've been through the rain
You've gotta know that I feel your pain
Don't be afraid

When you're on the edge, I will rescue you
When you need a friend, I'll be there for you

I'm nobody's hero, for you, I'd lay down my life
Nobody's hero, but I'll tear down the stars from the sky
If you will lean on me, baby dream on me
You can bleed on me, just believe in me
Nobody's Hero

Well out on these streets, they're waiting for blind eyes to see
They're waiting for our cuts to bleed, I hear they're waiting for you and me
Well alright, alright

Cuz this time, you know I ain't afraid to fight
For you, I ain't afraid to die
As long as you are by my side, it will be alright
When all faith is gone, I will pray for you
Just keep holding on, I'll be there for you

I'm nobody's hero, but for you, I'd lay down my life
Nobody's hero, but I'd tear down the stars from the sky
If you'd lean on me, you can bleed on me
Baby, dream on me, just believe in me
Nobody's Hero

I'm nobody's hero, but for you, I'll lay down my life
Nobody's hero, but I'll tear down the stars from the sky
If you'll lean on me, you can bleed on me
Baby, dream on me, just believe in me
I'm Nobody's Hero

Nobody's Hero

Baby, lean on me, you can dream on me,
Just bleed on me, just believe in me

Some parts of the song make me think it is for Cosmo, while other parts are for those of you that have given me support for my grief and loss. I hope I did not put this post in the wrong place, but I don't believe I did. I would have given my own life for my Cosmo to stay healthy on this earth for a while longer, of course, Daddy would have had to care for him if I was gone, but that would have been O.K. with me.
To my beloved Cosmo, I fought as hard as I could for your life, but I did not want you to suffer or lose your beauty and dignity. I hope you forgive me for the choice I made for you, as I am having a hard time forgiving myself. It was ALL for LOVE. Peaceful Rest, My Baby Boy. You left me too soon.

Peace, Love, and Prayers to all of you and your furbabies,
Michelle
By the way, I have been a Bon Jovi fan for 19 years, their songs have always spoken to me. I posted one called "Maybe, Someday" a couple weeks ago in the memorial section, if anyone would like to read it.

Hi, Michelle-

This is a great song and I can see why it makes you think of Cosmo.
Thanks for posting the lyrics.
Kathleen

Thank You Kathleen for your post ( and all of your supportive posts through the past 6 weeks).
I am glad you understood the lyrics of the song and what they represent, although if you could hear it, it would mean that much more.
Peace, Love, and Prayers,
Michelle
I hope you are doing well.
